They do not represent Islam. Does the Lord's Resistance Army represent Christianity? But please go ahead and blame the entirety of Islam because a few neanderthal, brain-dead morons have usurped the Q'ran for whatever their reasoning might be.

Christian teaching also includes the Old Testament, and you couldn't get much more bloodthirsty than that. Your 'God' condoned slaughter liberally throughout the text.

How are you comparing the Lord's Resistance army to Christianity?

Africa has and will for the foreseeable future have strife.

And not to mention the leader of the LRA just surrendered to American forces.

the God Muslims call Allah, is not the same God worshiped by Christians. This Allah is satanic. A force of evil.

You're not even responding to what I wrote in Post #70, snake. I suggest you carefully read it again.

Here's the interview with Zuhdi Jasser that I spoke about earlier. Keep in mind that, unlike yourself, he is a Muslim (bear with the buffering if it keeps occurring):

I'd be interested to hear your response to his observations and comments.

Heck, let;s take that a step further. We have one Muslim still posting here and on the topic that I can recall, and the worst he can muster was "I do not condone the attacks." - which is a pretty noncommittal way of doing so.

On the other hand, Christians have Westboro, and I flat-out condemn them, when I haven't mocked them. Okay, I make fun of them more than condemn them because that's me, but that's besides the point. In fact, I don't think I've seen a Christian here who was even vaguely apathetic about them. We certainly haven't seen any Muslim posters mocking these guys for attacking Charlie, that's for sure.

Really, what has the OP got? Maybe two dozen Muslims against what these guys did? I kind of doubt that's even a start.

So does Islam - we went over that yesterday.

The faiths diverge at the Gospels and the Qur'an. Bringing up the OT doesn't address the differences between Christianity and Islam's core scriptural texts.

just like Christians are very reluctant or completely unwilling to condemn the acts of evil Christians commit, abortion doctors killed while they are helping out with church services, name one Christian on the right that called that terrorism? or those that bomb medical facilities, I am not sure why Christians and Muslims have such a hard time calling religious fanatics terrorists

heck the catholic church hid the fact that some of their preachers were child rapists for fear it would make their religion look bad.... they just do not want to acknowledge the truth, truth being that not all Christians or Muslims are good people

the church even backed Hitler in the beginning and the Christian in Germany did not speak up in the beginning (they even supported him) about Hitler because they disliked the Jews that they believed killed Jesus

I'll say I'm disappointed in that one particular Muslim for failing to take the opportunity to denounce the attacks.

On the other hand, I was invited to this forum by a Muslim who lives in Ankara and I have no doubt in my mind that he would have denounced the attacks and ridiculed the perpetrators. He absolutely despises Islamists. Given the opportunity, he'd probably knock the snot out of Recep Erdogan and Fethullah Gülen just for the fun of it.

Then again, Turks are a different breed than Arabs (another group of people he is fond of ridiculing).

That being said, what truly disgusts me is the response from people like Obama and Howard Dean. Their cowardice makes me want to hurl...

Your anti-Christian bias is showing. You've got the entire World Wide Web at your fingertips and you can't find a single Christian who has denounced those acts of violence?

A quick Google search revealed this article - there are more if you would only take the time to look:

Fatal abortion clinic bombing condemned by pro-life leaders
    http://www.bpnews.net/1965/fatal-abortion-clinic-bombing-condemned-by-prolife-leaders

    (Full disclosure: I'm agnostic)

That was on their uniforms long before Nazi Germany. The Russians also used it. Now your arguments are just becoming idiotic. Are you seriously going to argue that Nazis were pro Christian? The Nazis attempted to take over the churches and form a national Nazi church in order to control people. When that failed because the churches opposed the take over, they started banning Catholicism and all but wiped out other denominations.

    You have been destroyed........

It's as if some think that you first must criticize things Christians don't do in the name of Christ before one can call out Islam for the evil they do commit.

    - - - Updated - - -

It's fine when your goal is assimilate different cultures into one, but that's the opposite as what the left has forced upon us in the name of political correctness..

DUH! Do you realize the low % of Muslim posting in this forum vs the high % of self-identified "Christians?" Obviously there will be fewer Muslim expressing their disgust and condamnation of the Paris terrorists than others!

But show me how many Muslims here have answered the OP in DEFENSE of the shooting, or agreed with radical terrorism!. . .

How many of the so called "Christians" in this forum have SUPPORTED the tortures and abuses of Muslims by Americans?

The Quran specifically says that Allah makes some people Muslims and some people not Muslims.

Some will convert, some won't convert.

Why are jijhadists killing non believers for Allah's fault?

Interesting. Well maybe you can help educate this ignorant. :)

I'm being told that Muslims clerics are decrying these atrocities.

But at the same time I'm seeing all kinds of heated rhetoric that is also allegedly from "Muslim clerics", that goes the other way - so.... I'm not really sure what kind of "importance" to assign to the one group (of reports) or the other.

So, here's my thinking at this point: if these actions are indeed being considered as "atrocities", and it's the clerics saying that there are, then there must be backing for this on a "formal" basis, in the Quran, the Surras, a fatwah somewhere....

I'm especially interested in the question of where in the Sharia Law, is the punishment spelled out, for these actions that just took place?

I mean, what am I reading here, do any of these "clerics' opinions" really matter?

Yes and they have done that since the creation of Islam. You are dead on. This phenomena is as much anti Muslim ironically as it is anti Muslim.

Its also been around since the religion started.

The question is, will Islam evolve to a level where its followers engage in critical thinking? Its too early to say because the vast majority of Muslims still are illiterate. Until literacy rates are such that the average Muslim can read, they will continue to depend on the interpretation of their religion from Mullahs, Imams and self professed prophets.

Muslim extremism is a phenomena of the old Muslim world panicking, sensing its losing ground to critical thinking creeping into its societies from Western contaminated Muslims. Its an attempt to reverse the tide of critical thought or free thought.

Its ironic in the sense that Muslims are held the most directly captive by Muslim extremists and this is why for me, as much as I detest any extremists including Muslim extremists I am loath to start striking out at all Muslims simply because they are Muslim. I though will criticize anyone of any religion or thought who thinks they should appease extremists or who pulls this bullpoop pretense that we should not speak out against Muslim extremists because we will endanger Muslim moderates. What poop.

Muslim moderates like the rest of us are sick of these extremist sob's and want their liberation from it. That is why so many left for Europe and the US. Now they are tarred with the same feather.

We do see radicalized youth turning back to radical Islam because they fail to assimilate. Part of it may be unfair discrimination but part of it may be their own unrealistic expectations at not having to assimilate and change their cultural values when they live in the West.

I agree with those posters that say if you come to the West, you have to be willing to be realistic and understand you can't cling to certain past values and do well in a democratic society where we expect people to show tolerance for different beliefs and a different approach to gender, etc..

This latest idiocy will make people understand freedom of speech does not come easy. Soldiers died so we could take it for granted and that price of blood is as premium today as it was in WW2, WW1, and so on.

Charlie Hebdo was not anti Muslim people any more then it was anti Jewish people or anti Catholic people. It was criticing the extreme conservative interpretations of our religion, not we as people.

The extremists like some people on this board can't tell the difference.

There is a price to pay to preserve freedom of speech. A generation brought up taking it for granted now wakes up in the face of those who want to destroy it.

There is no turning back. It won't go away by trying to appease it.

This idiotic notion of arguing we should expect terrorism if we upset terrorists makes me want to puke.

This is not about blaming cartoonists for upsetting terrorists and saying they had it coming.

Right. Women provoke rape by wearing tight pants. Got it.

    Bull crap.

Moderate muslims, moderate all of us were not losing sleep over Charlie Hebdo. I had no intention of killing anyone because of cartoons ridiculing conservative Jewish thought. Lord what kind of argument tries to rationalize terrorism by saying it only occurs if you bother the terrorists.

Right they only react when provoked. Otherwise they are harmless. What an idiotic naive concept to try make them seem less dangerous by engaging in this only bad things happen to bad people and if they attack its becaus you were bad so if you just shut up you have nothing to worry about.

    What crap.

When I see these pathetic cowardly weasels who engage in terror, I fill my mind with the humility in the eyes of those soldiers I know who have fought them.

There is no turning back and we will have to fight for what some of you think is achieved by cowering and hiding.

The OP is rather clear of that Muslims in general do not approve this.
How is that not part of critical thinking?

There are like 4 or 5 countries in the entire world, where the illiterate rate is lower than 50%.

There were 3 attempts to burn down mosques with people in it, in Norway in the Christmas period. And only last night 4 mosques in France were attacked with granades, shot at, next door kebab store blew up etc. A fire bomb exploded at a Dutch mosque last night as well, while the facebook page in support of Geert Wilders had to erase numerous posts that called up people to use violence against mosque's.

And you think they won't be loosing sleep over all this?

Yeah well,.. 2 of those nationalities started an illegal war against Iraq. They erased all law and authority and left that place in such a level of anarchy that they are responsible for the deaths of 100.000's of people and the making of a main breeding ground for terrorism. While an other nationality is in fear that they will get lawsuits filed against them, for ethnic cleansing in occupied territory / protecting colonies on occupied territory = a warcrime.

A great display for heroism indeed.... but for all the wrong reasons and highly criminal way.
This isn't even close to saying the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I fail to spot the good intention.
