Like him or hate him, he stands up to the media. The media in the USA dictates to people what to do or not to do. It was high time someone started rattling their cage a bit. They are mere mortals.

He always has got to say something.

Hey Dale, I agree with you, but it all depends upon Trumps next move. For example, Trump sponsors an event online in the same time slot as the FOX debates and that allows him to speak to the American people about how poorly our VETS have been treated. He raises thousands $$$ to help the VETS, steals the audience from the FOX debates, and he gets to speak directly to the American people about the corrupt media and other important issues.

    Go, Trump! :)

So what stops their attacks with him not being there to defend himself? What, because he is not there they wont attack him? He just wont be able to defend himself other than on Twitter.

Also what will stop Fox's moderators asking questions to Highlight Trump not being there? Getting their own digs in and playing on the Medias credentials?

I don't think it is going to be definitive on way or the other. But it is fun to watch the media reaction. Even liberal sources feel threatened that a candidate could actually not feel totally dependant on media approval.

FOX NEWS: Hey, remember when Donald Trump told Megyn Kelly about debate 'courage
    ' 4 years ago?

    http://www.businessinsider.com/megyn-kelly-donald-trump-fox-news-debate-newsmax-2016-1

Back in 2011, Trump sat down with Kelly to promote a Republican presidential debate the real-estate mogul was planning to moderate.

Trump criticized several of the candidates who wouldn't commit to the event, which was to be hosted by the conservative news organization Newsmax.

"We're not seeing a lot of courage here, are we? Not lots of courage. These Republicans, they're supposed to be brave," Trump told Kelly at the time.

He also said he "could never" be a better moderator than Kelly, who he said was doing "a great job, and I mean it."

Trump should call for local grand jury investigations into the deadly denial of care to veterans for bonus money. All voters are becoming very afraid of the healthcare system.

Yes, now Trump is admitting he was wrong about Kelley. Isn't that great! :)

He said back then she was doing a good job. Which he thought she was. Now that she has been around the block a few times. He thinks she isn't doing a good job. That Fox/Ailes isn't being Faaair. <<<<< said that like a NYorker. [IMG]

Adams is the only pundit (and he's really not even that) who has consistently called it correct on Trump since last summer.

By tarring Fox as an enemy he diminishes the network's credibility for the rest of the campaign. Many will dismiss Fox as a hostile source from now on. Trump has been brilliant - so far.

Trump's critics seem to think this hurts Trump. There are clearly very reality challenged.

The media have a bad habit of injecting entertainment with news. The news of him not showing up becomes the entertainment. The entertainment provides full exposure of who and what Trump is as a candidate. Minus providing the popcorn, Trump gives us the entertainment with hundreds of jokes, but beyond that, a viable presidential candidate for the people, he is not. It's abundantly clear you have yet to recognize the difference.

He is controlling the narrative and the media. No other candidate has that power.

I guess the previous 5 debates that he not only participated in but also won are of no relevance to you? Once again Trump leaves the mouth breathers wondering what just happened as he manipulates the media

this would actually be good. coupled with a critique of how greedy the networks are by not even donating anything to charity for the profits of the debate :)

In layman terms you are saying that FNC will now be looked upon as part of the MSM.

    I concur.
