No thank you. The ACA isn't perfect but the Ryan"care" is simply horrible, cruel, and a large jump backwards.

Do you think the POTUS planned to let Obamacare fail this whole time? It won't be long now.

Besides, let's see how the vote goes before that albatross drags the US into Guatemala status.

At this moment, near some warm pool - John Boehner is having himself a cigarette, a long, tall Friday afternoon glass of Scotch, giving his faithful dog a scruff, while smiling and saying....toldya so.

If it does not effectively remove obamacare, if its just obamacare lite, then don't pass it.

And it seems to be obamacare lite, which is why the R's don't have the votes.

At least they are not playing parliamentarian games to ram it through like the "progressives" did.

Waaaat? It's still the Democrat Party's problem? Let it blow up. It will be obamacare forever or at least until it chokes to death.

I heard that the Kochs want the bill killed until a more grossly cold-hearted one is written and Trump, as compensation to them, has made a huge to do about the Keystone Pipeline today. They are the ones that stand to profit the most...ya know...because they are not huge enough polluters or have enough money the butt ugly POS.

It is shocking that republicans have not arrived at a bill they can all support
After all... they have been working on this bill ever since bill and Hillary tried to address the issue

Well, it's back to the drawing board. Trump called Robert Costa at the Washington Post to say "he had yanked the bill". Which raises two questions: why did he call a "fake news" outlet about this AND - what's next? Ryan has a press conference at 4:00 EDT. For those who think they can just let the ACA die and let millions come off healthcare, think again. Trump and the Republicans campaigned on repealing & replacing, doing nothing is not an option. They will have to tweak the existing healthcare system to prevent fury from the population. If they do nothing, the protests will make those of January 21 seem like a quiet church picnic.

Perhaps there is a chance down the road to have a bipartisan discussion with Democrats on how to make things better. I think even Trump might believe this is possible and Democrats realize the ACA system needs to be tweaked. Who knows.......

Either way, none of the 3 alternatives of today were good for Trump and the Republicans, they look pretty inept.......and just how stupid (again) does Sean Spicer look........given his extraordinary statements over the last 3 days.

And millions of people once again without affordable coverage or losing coverage is not a disaster? The way it stands now it is the very bill that the right wing wrote before it became Obama's. But how would you know that?!!

The only flaw I find with that is that the actual reptiles are the GOP.

Do you think that the GOP base will be happy to just let Obamacare fail on its own? The landmark legislation continues to gain in popularity as more an more people realize that the GOP's version is worse than business as usual.

The vote has been cancelled. Trump has suffered yet another massive defeat of one of his keystone "promises."

Ryan's press conference was interesting. He said that they spent 8 years being the opposition party, and that's easy. Now that it's time to lead, it's a little harder.

Actually, that does not work for anyone. The country needs affordable health care, and Obama care isn't that affordable either.

So I guess pres trump will just let Obamacare implode, as premiums continue to rise so it is no longer affordable.

The GOP had their chance to do what they ranted about for years. And they blew it. Which shows they were really never against obamacare anyways, since it was written by big insurance to benefit big insurance, and remember obamacare was foundationally the same healthcare that a right wing think tank came up with against hillarycare.

Trump ran on repealing it and replacing it, but he needed the GOPhers in congress to do their part. Didn't happen. The tea party faction would not vote for it, for it was not conservative enough, which means it still had Medicaid in it.

So, trump should just say let the bitch burn down, implode, and blame GOPhers and dems, for he is president not dictator. But he should also tell the GOP to shut the **** up about repealing obamacare, for they were just lying all along, using it for political gain. If the voters had any sense, which of course many do not, they would not send the same crew back to the House and Senate, and replace them with people who will work with trump, not oppose him.

Of course MSM will blame trump, call him names, you know the usual mealy mouth talk, while acting like congress is NOT at fault, the GOP in congress who love them some obamacare, and just lied to their voters about repealing it.

So, let it implode. And those that have insurance will lose it, many of them for it will not be affordable.

Should not hurt trump at all. He and his team worked hard on this, trying to get the votes. The fault lies with the GOPhers who have to write it, pass it, and send it to pres trump to sign. Unless people are too stupid to understand the president is not a dictator and does not write the healthcare bills. So far, the things that the president could do with EO, to keep his promises, he carried through. And made history in keeping promises. Did not lie like most presidents do. The voters need to replace the GOPhers in congress is all, to get people in who are serious about repealing obamacare.

For me, I want single payer, medicare for all, and get the insurance profits OUT of the costs. Which we will eventually have, one day, given the out of control rising costs in for profit insurance. It just is not sustainable, that is the fact, unless only the upper middle and upper class are insured. The problem with healthcare too is the gutting of middle class jobs, being replaced with working poor service sector wages in great numbers. Our economic policies and trade policies has taken away the ability of far too many to afford healthcare. This of course aggravates the problem, yet no one talks about it.

The democrats had a chance to add a single payer option with obamacare and what did they do? Well, they let big insurance write obamacare based on a right wing think tank alternative to hillarycare The GOP only opposed it so they could lie to potential voters, as they lied to voters about repealing it. Trump is being stopped by his party, who serve big insurance, as they always have.

Well, trump just proved the GOP never wanted to repeal it, they just lied to get elected. As always. ha h ha

No matter how this bill goes, the Democratic Party is going to get slaughtered in the next election. The Senate has so many Democratic seats up it's going to be a lock for the Republicans no matter how bad they mess this up.
