What's to assume? Anyone who has ever "debated" with you on this forum already knows how partisan you are. Sad, because you've only been here a month, at least under that screen name.

Considering 70% of Americans don't have a bachelors degree what's the problem with an entertainer not having a degree? I'd guess a lot of these loud mouth lefties artist that many lefties around here hold up as a voice of reason don't have degree either. Perhaps it's time for some to climb off that high horse and come back to the real world.

Honey Boo Boo had a TV show that was one of the most watched at one point. Please don't tell me you think she was automatically intelligent.

And yes, I have a college and a post-graduate education.

Why do you believe that Hannity (which I have watched multiple times) is not a Television version of the Editorial from a newspaper?

Because people have a tendency to listen to what they want to hear. They like hearing these types of "America First" things and never consider the source. As was said before, these guys have never served, and are less educated in a lot of instances. I just love how during the primaries, they were hardly behind Trump, now that he's the POTUS, they act like they never had any reservations and that his crap don't stink.

Worse yet, when they get called out, they can't stand it.

You assume that I am unable to evaluate the intellect of someone simply because they hold a different set of political views. That assumption makes an ass of you and me.

Ted Koppel doesn't believe there is room for opposing opinions in the media. There can only be one official viewpoint.

They have the right to talk about whatever they want on their show and you have the right to not watch, listen, or tune-in. That's the wonderful freedom we have in this country.

sorry for the misunderstanding, that was sarcasm on my end.

Just so we are clear: there is a virtual laundry list of "non academics" who's personal opinions I hold in high regard many who are or have been extremely successful in business, society, etc.

On the flip side one of the smartest guys I know (and we discuss policical subject matter frequently over cold beer) is Harvard educated but one of the MAIN reason's I appreciate his input is because he's even keeled, not pushing one side or another, more often than not he's able to present both viewpoints, THEN states his view. The ability to see both sides is a major part of critical thinking and I don't value opinions that consistently push one side or another on because at the end of the day, a slanted viewpoint can't be trusted.

    Which brings me to Hannity.

Not a big fan of his show myself and I have access to a plethora of conservative talk radio personalities, I'm a bit of a talk radio junkie but basically have 3 choices. Espn, NPR, Fox, so I've heard hundreds of hours of NPR/Fox in the car over the past 20 years or so and when both of them pizz me off then I switch to ESPN.

I've mentioned this before but basically I view Hannity or Limbaugh the same as I would Rachel Maddow or Bill Maher (random examples), They are right 10-20% of the time but you have to filter out the 80+% of the partisan garbage to get to the real meat which is easier said than done.

Bottom line is that I prefer very much to formulate my own opinions on X or Y subject matter and I rarely blindly accept whatever opinions the talking heads present. I'm not a fan of partisan pundits. I'll watch a news broadcast but as soon as the "discussion of subject matter" starts I move along more often than I stay tuned in to hear the opinions of the talking heads.

I think a major issue is that people always seem to forget is that these folks are not newscasters, they are opinion show hosts broadcasting their Opinion, nothing more nothing less, they have an agenda and they are pushing it. I won't deliberately tune in for that crap.

ps,,, my biggest complaint with these "hosts" is misleading stats, that really gets under my skin.

He dropped out of High School at 15 and applied at a Swiss Tech school and failed the test to get in, so he went to a different Swiss college.

You said: "Einstein was a High School dropout. He didn't even make to college to drop out."

I already provided you with this....did you miss it?

Einstein's Studies at the Polytechnic Institute in Zurich (1896–1900)
After Einstein had received the university entrance diploma in Aarau , he joined the sixth department of the Polytechnic Institute, the school for subject teachers in the mathematical and scientific fields. His future wife, Mileva Maric, was the only woman registered. Einstein was disappointed that various newer physics theories were not dealt with at the "Poly", for example, James Clerk Maxwell’s theory of electromagnetic fields. He attended only few lectures, preferring to study at home. He was particularly absorbed by the article „Über die Grundgleichungen der Elektrodynamik für bewegte Körper“ by Heinrich Hertz, which dealt with Maxwell’s theory.

During preparations for the exams he sometimes relied on the lecture notes of his fellow students. The exemplary books of Marcel Grossmann (external link), that Einstein used, have been preserved. In the third academic year Einstein had difficulties with Jean Pernet’s "Physics practical course for beginners". Whether the professor or the experiments displeased him, is not clear; he played truant so often, that he was reprimanded by management and obtained the lowest possible mark.

In July 1900 he completed his studies at the Polytechnic Institute with a diploma. Apart from him, all four graduates obtained assistant posts at the Polytechnic Institute.

In his "Erinnerungen" , written on the occasion of the 100th birthday of the ETH (1955), Einstein describes his time as a student at the Polytechnic Institute.

It's a symbol of state authority to execute civilians, that's what's wrong with it. It's a symbol of the state putting itself and its employees above the civilians that compose the state.

It is a symbol of tyranny.

Koppel thinks there can only be one opinion aired. The one he agrees with. In his opinion.

Koppel is right to call out Lyin' Hannity. Do you think it's fair for a captive audience to be bombarded with brain numbing lies to befit their cognitive dissonance, or to hear the facts?

You're absolutely right, and just goes to show that it's always a safe bet that when they point their fingers at you for something, it's always something they're guilty of.

Koppel has the right to his opinion. Apparently Hannity doesn't. In Koppel's opinion.

You just did a fantastic job of describing the left.

But go on acting like your side is perfect, we're use to that as well.

Hannity may give his opinion about things, but I can't recall a single episode where he did so without video or written evidence that backs him up.
