Koppel is of course right. But the same could be said for people like Maddow and all of MSM. We have seen this especially over the last couple of years, in regards to Hillary, trump, the Russian ruse, the collusion conspiracy theories. At least Hannity admits his show is opinion, ,while these other jackwagons in MSM claim they are journalists not opinion hacks.

We no longer have a Press. We have something in MSM that looks like State controlled media as in the USSR, or China today. Pre-interviews, black outs. This really is self evident, to rational objective minds.

Who is forced to listen to Hannity?

"Facts" are not all that's needed. Analysis is also necessary to be able to arrive at truth.

For instance, I can deliver true facts to you that lead you to an erroneous position: "Apples are nutritious. Oranges contribute to tooth decay."

This is what the media does, and this is what 'fake news' is. Most people do not have the time to do the necessary analysis, and that is why people like Hannity and Limbaugh and Maddow, and ole Tingly-leg washed-up whats-his-name, and Stewart are popular.

And, this is what is missing; no one does analysis that is not steeply slanted either left or right. The people doing the analysis are monetizing people's natural tendency towards confirmation bias.

It is not irrelevant if I was answering the opposite.

The statement was made in the reverse, so I was giving my opinion as well.

Of course, in the case of Hannity's listeners:

They seem to be flocking toward the "confirmation bias" that 1+1=3.

The left can't stand that they don't have a total monopoly on information like they used to. That's why they attack any source of information that even semi-tilts to the right.

That's all opinionated on your behalf. How did he lie about any of that? What kind of outrage did Pelosi get? How many refugees? What about healthcare? The premiums sky rocketed in some states. Unemployment under Obama was terrible if you actually count the unemployed people and not just the ones actively looking for work. Cash for clunkers?

That would pretty much end all news networks because they're all opinionated except for maybe C-SPAN.

No opinion. He lied about those items, in specific, and you can google the results yourself.

Funny that Koppel says that Hannity is dividing the country, when the biggest misleader and divider for the past thirty or forty years has been the msm, in which Koppel played a major role. Clearly, Hannity's major fault is in not towing the progressive line. If that makes him divisive, then divisive is a good thing. So, were it not for the lefts massive intent, via its own intellectual bigotry, to deceive the nation, there would be no Hannity, no Fox news, and no Rush Limbaugh. Hannity may have his faults. But Koppel is a joke and an intellectual bigot in a large parade of slaves to the liberal counter culture movement. In this parade are ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Hollywood in general, most colleges, newspapers and magazines. And they all bear the same progressive stripe. So spare us the lectures Mr. Koppel.

Koppel and his liberal supporters seem to have missed the point. The Koppels of the media world are just as necessary as the Hannitys and the Rachel Maddows and whoever else has an opinion. We can take the straight news directly from the government but we can also count on them to give it their own spin. As adults we should be able to inform ourselves from a variety of sources and opinions.

The fact is that adults can listen to all news sources and then make up their own minds The ongoing lesson, going back decades, is that only those with a certain liberal perspective feel themselves to be the legitimate disseminaters of truth and all others are just wrong-headed pretenders.

He's a member of the progressive elite. They're the smartest people in the room, always. Just ask them, they will tell you!

Ted Koppel takes him and his ilk seriously because they are the people who dumbed down media.

Sham Hammity is little more than a glorified disc jockey. He doesn't know much about politics, or government, and has no journalistic experience or credentials. He's a right wing talk show host with a camera pointed at him.

He knows that he doesn't have to know much because the audience he is aimed straight at doesn't know much and isn't interested in learning.

He tells them what they already believe and leavens it with a bit of manufactured outrage. Strickly carnival barker stuff.

Do you wish to silence everyone who disagrees with Ted Koppel, too?
