Well, Im not a democrat but let me take a guess.

In 2016, it meant that there was an actor that was apparently colluding with one political party to air the dirty laundry of another political party. And the Democrats came out on the losing end.

But, hey, in 2020, now that the Dems are fully aware that such shenanigans are not only acceptable but applauded...I'm sure there will be hacking galore of not only the Parties, the candidates but their kids, their friends, fund raisers, etc...

Now, do you think there will be any of these criminals who will blink before they just manufacture e-mails from Candidate X's daughter saying that the candidate came into her room one night 10 years ago and ____________'d her?

All brought to you by Donald Trump and his supporters.

    Enjoy.

IMO there are two sides to all those stories.

IMO Soros's NGOs worked to destabilize the legally elected government of Ukraine, and *someone* with possible US links then capitalized on that instability to force him out of power by physical threat.

IMO Putin was being accurate when he stated that there was a post-WWII agreement that Ukraine be allowed to remain neutral and not a part of NATO.

IMO Obama's administration secretly enabled the development and growth of ISIS.

Those of us that suspect all of the above found it impossible to vote for Hillary, and are now finding it impossible to take all the anti-Russian propaganda being tossed around seriously.

Sorry; I really tried, but I have failed to connect what you are saying here with anything that I said in the post you supposedly are responding to. You are responding to a post I made in response to someone else. The point I was making was about a feeling, not relative amounts of wealth.

But, this is what you are not listening to---there "is" still investigations going on & they are gathering "more" evidence as the days go by yes, you can say" the heads of intelligence have flatly stated that russia did not interfere in our elections" up to a point, but, you are drawing conclusions based on incomplete data.
Oh, yes, people do care about this issue & yes,it is scary,People care because, they don't trust the voting results of the 2016 Presidential election, if we don't do something to fix the interference, people won't trust any voting results in the future.
So, if the investigations turn up "how" & "who",we get to plug the holes ,so the American people can "trust" our Democratic election process---That is what we should "all" care about---

What would you say if Trump leaned over to Putin and said, "after my election, I will have more flexibility"? Meaning whatever is being discussed is not going to help him get elected. Again, what would you say about such an occurrence?

I do listen, and expect to go on listening indefinitely.

As anyone with a course of logic under their belt is aware, it is impossible to prove a negative, and the elite's propaganda artists are making full use of that fact.

My dear, if Russia ever attacks us on our soil, it's over, Armageddon. That is not an issue for discussion. Let's change the subject.

This is getting surreal. Today we learned something new, and it is quite incomprehensible. Please recall that Nunes got something -- we don't know what yet, neither do members of his committee -- from a nameless source and he rushed it over to the White House to warn the President who is the subject of his committee's investigation. He stopped along the way to tell reporters the information -- whatever it is -- has nothing to do with the Russians.

Now that is weird enough. It just got weirder.

Today we learned the day before Nunes revealed that conversations by Trump transition officials may have been inadvertently picked up by U.S. surveillance, he met with the source of the information at the White House. If you need to read that over again, I would understand. Nunes went to the White House because there was a facility there for reviewing classified information, said Jack Langer, a spokesman for Nunes, who has refused to divulge the identity of his source.

Handling classified information in the halls of Congress is a routine matter. Are we to believe there are no facilities in the capitol capable of handling classified information? To be frank, that is ludicrous. It is difficult to understand how a member of Congress would so foolish as to try to pawn off such an absurd statement onto the public.

Nunes still has not revealed to anyone what he has in his possession. Questions abound that he has nothing. He has apologized to his committee members and all but admitted his actions were wrongheaded. Nunes has conceded that he did not know "for sure" that any Trump aides had actually been subject to surveillance, just that their names had appeared in intelligence reports. Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer has taken the extraordinary step of asking a member of the House, Nunes, to step aside.

Nunes was a senior member of Trump's transition team. It is becoming quite clear that his inept attempt to help the President has only made things worse for the White House. The sequence of events could buttress claims that the episode last week was a White House ploy to shift attention away from the FBI investigation.

Why would he have had to go to the White House unless his source worked there? At this point Nunes had to admit the information comprised executive branch documents that have not been provided to Congress.

So, what do we have here? Nunes stumbled onto something still unknown that was provided by someone in the White House, and they were executive branch documents. Although Nunes heads an investigation into the Russian connection, the information has nothing to do with Russia, he says. Again, no one else knows what he is talking about. The unknown source is in the White House. So we know the leak came from the White House, and Nunes felt it necessary to warn the White House about something that came from the White House.

That about sums it up. I told you it was weird.

The weirdness continues. The day before the House Intelligence Committee chairman revealed that conversations by Trump transition officials may have been inadvertently picked up by U.S. surveillance, he met with the source of the information at the White House. "Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Tulare), went to the White House because there was a facility there for reviewing classified information," said Jack Langer, a spokesman for Nunes. “Chairman Nunes met with his source at the White House grounds in order to have proximity to a secure location where he could view the information provided by the source,” Langer said.

Now that is quite clear to everyone, right. Nunes went to the White House on Tuesday the day before he went to the White House to warn the White House about what he had learned at the White House.

    Clear as mud.

Not so fast. Now it seems there is something of a mystery, the whereabouts of Nunes on the day before his Wednesday announcement. CNN reports, "The California Republican confirmed to CNN in a phone interview Monday he was on the White House grounds that day -- but he said he was not in the White House itself. (Other buildings, including the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, are on the same grounds.)"

So, despite earlier reports from his office that he went to the White House, now, maybe, he didn't go to the White House. Perhaps, his office lost track of him, which does not speak well of the Congressman.

There is still another issue. Who signed him in, or, more precisely, who did he see? Well, we don't know that, either.

Members of Congress, like the general public, must be cleared and escorted into facilities on White House grounds.
"Every non-White House staffer must be cleared in by a current White House staffer," an official said. "So it's just not possible that the White House was unaware or uninvolved."

However, if we are to believe the White House, they were both unaware and uninvolved. CNN, continued, "Nunes went to the building because he needed a secure area to view the information, he told CNN. He said he didn't believe the President nor any of his West Wing team were aware he was there, and the White House said Monday it learned of Nunes' visit through media reports and directed any questions to the congressman."

There are only two possibilities. Either there was a remarkable breach of White House security or the White House is lying.

In view of events, Trump's press secretary, Sean Spicer, had an almost comical response. "I did not sit in on that briefing," Spicer said. "I'm not -- it just doesn't -- so I don't know why he would brief the speaker and then come down here to brief us on something that we would have briefed him on. It doesn't really seem to make a ton of sense. So I'm not aware of it, but it doesn't really pass the smell test."

On Wednesday we know Nunes wanted to warn the President. Is the President now throwing Nunes under the bus?

With all this cloak and dagger stuff, no one is talking about the main issue. Did Trump and/or members of his campaign staff coordinate the demise of the Clinton campaign with the Russians?

Here is something more to talk about, the continuing Nunes affair. It is really getting interesting.

For one thing, if the only news you get on this subject is from this forum and you ignore half of it -- the half that makes Trump look guilty -- then you are going to remain sadly uninformed. The "proof" was a leak from the White House and, as it turns out, we still don't know what the proof is. Incredibly, Nunes hasn't even told members of his committee what the documents contain.

First, Nunes cancelled an open hearing that would have included fired ass't A.G. Sally Yates. Then the secret hearing involving Director Comey and Admiral Rogers that was to be held today was cancelled.

In the meantime, no one knows what is in the documents except Nunes and he isn't telling anybody and he isn't allowing any hearings on the subject.

One would have to be pretty dense not to be suspicious of these Machiavellian activities. All this leads to the conclusion that there is something very damning to the President in those documents.

One thing is for sure. Whatever his motivation, which would include a vain attempt to protect the President, Nunes has made a complete mess of it. When a Senator from his own party (Graham) is calling for Nunes to step down, you know it is bad.

Hint: Although the leak came from the White House, the leaker is not a friend of the President.

"Hat tip to you for being a good partner in discussion." Thank you, and the feeling is mutual. I get kinda serious at times, but I'm just having fun. Also, it helps to have conviction on your side.

No one is saying the Russians told the Trump campaign anything. What Trump detractors are saying is that it became readily apparent that the Russians were responsible for the Wikileaks disclosures. The first clue is the confirmation of that suspicion by our 17 intelligence agencies on Oct. 7. This was followed by Obama's sanctions weeks before Trump is going to take office. It seems almost reasonable the members of Trump's staff would confer with the Russians over those sanctions. They did, and Putin did not retaliate, saying he would take it up with the Trump government.

I appreciate you taking the time to enumerate the several factors as to why Putin wanted Trump as our next President, not Clinton. I might add one more. When Putin declared for the Presidency in 2012, there were huge demonstrations throughout Russia condemning Putin's candidacy. Putin blamed Clinton for those demonstrations and he never forgave her. Interfering in our election, which included Clinton's demise, was payback. There is every reason in the world to believe that Trump's team and the Russians discussed all this. No special promises were required, just coordination.

Remember I said I get serious at times. You mentioned Assange and Wikileaks and I see red. I see a man and an organization that has endangered our national security more than once. I see a fugitive from U.S. law. I am not about to believe one self-serving syllable from that sonofabitch. Besdies, the lying bastard says he won't reveal his sources.

    Now, you were saying.

Whether or not the Russian hacking influenced our election is immaterial at this point, although Trump certainly thought the Russians were helping him. Care to hear some of his quotes at the time?

I am glad we agree Putin wanted Trump to win. I suppose you regard the Russian interference in our election, confirmed by our intelligence agencies, confirmed by the ongoing FBI investigation, confirmed by the Senate Intelligence Committee investigation, and confirmed by the House Intelligence Committee investigation, is just a coincidence. Well, I don't believe in coincidences, especially when there are several layers of them, many of which you are aware.

You don't regard the Nunes affair as even slightly suspicious? It is all on posts in this thread. That's all a big coincidence, too?

"Do you think any American, R or D, should keep that information from the president?" Yes, Seth, when the subject of that probe is the President. You can't see that? The President is not some supreme being. He is on equal footing with Congress, not superior to Congress. It is inexcusable that the chairman of the committee investigating the President, should run to inform the President of something prejudicial to a case involving the President.

Come on, Seth, you can see that.

I am all for engaging the real important things to the country. Who encouraged the Russians to hack? Whose NSA was fired for inappropriate actions with the Russian ambassador? Who has several members of his staff, including his son-in-law and A.G., secretly discussing matters with the Russians? Who threw up a smokescreen (Obama accusation) to hide all of the above? Who is directing the Nunes debacle (he keeps visiting the White House)?

I will spell it out for you, T-R-U-M-P.

Believe me, I'd love to talk about the important issues if our President would just let us.

Acting attorney general Sally Yates played a key role in the investigation surrounding Mike Flynn, a Trump campaign aide who became national security adviser before revelations that he had discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador to the United States in late December led to his ouster. Yates and another witness at the planned hearing, former CIA director John Brennan, had made clear to government officials by Thursday that their testimony to the committee probably would contradict some statements that White House officials had made.

On Friday, when Yates’s lawyer sent a letter to the White House indicating that she still wanted to testify, the hearing was canceled by Nunes.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer denied that the White House sought to hinder Yates’s testimony. “I hope she testifies, I look forward to it,’’ he said. “To suggest in any way, shape or form that we stood in the way of that is 100 percent false.’’

“I hope she testifies, I look forward to it.’’ Easy to say, when you know she won't because the chairman of the committee is in your pocket, and he cancelled the hearing.

Once again, we have to ask ourselves a question. First, Nunes on Tuesday quietly slips of over to the White House to see an informant. He says he went there to view classified documents, as if Congress has no such facility, which of course it does have. Then he returns to the White House on Wednesday to warn the White House of information received from the White House. He cancelled an open hearing on the issue. Then a closed hearing on the issue involving the FBI directory and NSA director is cancelled. All meetings of the House Intelligent Committee this week have been canceled. No one knows the contents of the documents Nunes supposedly has in his possession, not even members of his committee.

Now here is my question. Is there any intelligent person out there who thinks Nunes is doing all this on his own? That the White House is not involved in the hush treatment and cancellations?

If such an individual exists, please let me know. There is a bridge I'd like to sell you.

So far, three Republicans have demanded Nunes step down from the investigation, Sens. Graham and McCain and Rep. Walter Jones.

When asked if Nunes should step down, Ryan gave him a half-hearted attaboy. He simply said "No and no."

Nunes seems to have gotten confused about the length of his committee's investigation. In a reply he said, "As you know, this Russia issue, we have been on it for many, many years, and so we'll continue to be on the issue."

"Many, many years?" Or was it a Freudian slip? Does Trump's connection to the Russians go back "many, many years?"

If you really believe that, deal with my most recent posts. By that I mean, deal with specifics. Don't do what many of my detractors do. They simply say there is no evidence in the face of a mountain of evidence. They don't deal with the evidence itself, just in broad terms, and for good reason. I challenged general statements that are meaningless.

So, if you don't believe the evidence, say so, and be specific. I'd love to hear it.

There is a larger matter to be concerned about. Why is it the President of the United States is not concerned about the interference in our election by a foreign power? There has not been one statement out of the White House about that threat.

The White House is solely concerned with the people who leaked the threat, not the threat itself.

    Now that is scary.

Well, you wiggled out of that one. So, in your mind, Russian workers have a better "feeling" than American workers. I could take issue with that, too, but why bother. There are more important matters. See above.

I'm sorry for interrupting, but your assertion bothered me for obvious reasons.

He actually invited them to interfere ...

“I will tell you this, Russia: If you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” the Republican nominee said at a news conference in Florida. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

That was his dog whistle to Putin and the Oligarchs.

Sorry, I'm not going there. This thread concerns the allegation that Trump's staff coordinated with the Russians. Regarding Obama and ISIS, place that on the proper thread and I will deal with it. It is entitled, "Attacking ISIS in the Middle East is a serious strategic error." Others will be interested in your view. So will I.

What Would I say? I’d probably keep quiet and wait for Vlad’s response which apparently would have had to go something like, “Without my help you won’t get elected small-hands”.

I was just wandering, because Obama did say that, on camera without knowing it was recording both audio and video.

Concerned about Russia are ya, check this out!

I wonder what is so important he must wait until after his last election, as if what he's talking about and what he is going to do, is NOT going to help his re-election!

If this was Trump......I could hear it now! He's undermining our country and the American people. He must be impeached! Yet when it's right here for the world to see, it's actually Obama dealing in such atrocities. Exact definition of a "hypocrite". What's scary, is how many hypocrites are out there.

Hello, there is no evidence! Go ahead, provide the evidence! It's a change of power, your falling for nothing but lies. Lies to cover up their illegal activity! They was not prepared to lose the election, they was caught off guard, and did not have a plan to cover their criminal intent. They really thought the American people was going to stay home again. They did not, the American people bombarded the election booths. And fired the dems from almost position they had.

Now dems and libs are doing nothing but pissing in the wind.
