Trump EPA Goes A Long Way to Solving Flint Water Crisis; Media Silent

No agenda, eh? Not trying to manipulate any narratives, huh?

If anyone in the media wants to tell you they aren’t trying to make Trump look bad, just remind them of this little story that ran on Friday:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $100 million to help fund infrastructure upgrades in Flint amid the city’s crisis with lead-tainted water.

The grant announced Friday was promised to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality by Congress in December.

It aims to help Flint accelerate and expand its work to replace lead water service lines and fund other critical water infrastructure improvements.

The city switched to untreated Flint River water in 2014, resulting in lead being leached from pipes into the water supply. Flint returned to Detroit’s water system in 2015, but residents still must use filters or bottled water while authorities make the system safe.

Mayor Karen Weaver said in a statement that the much-needed money will help Flint reach a goal of replacing 6,000 pipes this year.

    .................More at the Link................

Obviously the MSM media is too concerned with Trumps use of Russian salad dressing to cover the actual news out of the White House.

Don't listen to the lies of the left handed, theyre desperate self serving trolls.

Isn’t Trump a racist? Wouldn’t he want to cancel any grants for money to Flint? What is going on here?

    What do you think?

So the EPA granted it in December, under Barry O, and you want Trump to take credit for it?

    Transparent BULLSHIT.

Of course, he could kill it, and he replaced the EPA leaders, and still Flint Michigan is going to get their new water system.

If you listen to leftys, they'll tell you Trump is an evil racist who hates people of color. Obviously, that's a freakn lie.

I liken this to Obama receiving credit for saving the auto industry after the market collapsed, even though it was Bush who actually did the saving.

Its important to remember history, otherwise you can be unknowingly lied too....

Trump isn't racist. He's just a corporatist demagogue and hypocrite to boot, but being a Trumpophile, you can't see that.

I could see Hillary was a lying scumbag who endangered American national security for her own personal convenience, but you couldn't see that....

Democrats talk about things that need fixing whereas Republicans fix things that need fixing. Learn the difference or suffer the consequences.

Yes, I did see that. I didn't vote for her. We've had this discussion before. Admit trump is lying to you. Do it. Because I admitted the truth; I didn't vote for HRC, and never would.

I think he wants to slash the EPA. He put someone in charge of the EPA who wanted it eliminated.

How many lies does he have to tell before it sinks in?

He is not just a liar but probably pathological.

Trump believes Obama's EPA regulations did more harm to the economy, than they ever helped the environment.

    I agree with that assessment.

You agree with something not supported by facts. This won't bring coal jobs back. It won't create anything but inflation of wealth for the richest. I know you righties tend to believe reducing taxes and "burdens" on the richest leads to price cuts for everyone else since those entities will no longer shift the tax/regulatory burden to the consumer, but unless you impose a regulation that says price for the consumer must be reduced to reflect the amount of savings deregulation brings, it will never happen.

No, I believe making America the best place on earth to do business, will produce more businesses in America.

    Its not rocket science.

    No, it isn't.

So you agree with my statements, since you clearly didn't bother refuting any of them.

If we cut regulatory prices and taxes for corporations, should we not see a price reduction at the consumer level? If no, then why bother changing anything?

No I don't agree with your socialist statements demanding the government set the prices for goods and services. That's the job of market competition

Small businesses can prosper. Over-regulation makes it all but impossible for small business start-ups.

and 70% of businesses in America are small businesses... We need more businesses, cut regulation.

No one wants pollute America like China polluted china. We can still be smart, without driving businesses out of the country with damaging regulations.

NOW THAT'S WHAT THE EPA SHOULD BE DOING!

Media and the Left (but I repeat myself) thinks good old pollution clean up that can harm children is boring. Carbon Monoxide and Al Gore, now that's the new sexy! A lot of these folks have banged their heads too hard while attempting to hug trees!

Ohhh, but we're all told reducing regulation and taxes saves the consumer money, right?

So like Maury Povich, THAT was a lie!

Oh, I agree. I don't agree with regulating things to death. I just find it hilarious to see people defend things by simply refusing to address them.

It would be more reasonable to conclude that the EPA and other regulators are racists since they stood by while the people of Flint were poisoned.

If this was signed in December then that means it happened under Obama's watch, not Trump's. While it is good something is being done, to give Trump credit for it just seems dishonest.

...so...Obama should not have claimed credit for saving the auto industry or Trump should not have claimed credit for helping out Flint?

You are not being consistent at all.

Yes, I'm being consistent. Bush allocated the funds prior to Obama taking office.
Yes, Trumps EPA allocated the funds after he took office.

    no inconsistences
