So much for Republican rhetoric about deficit neutral tax cutting. Trump, never even discusses how he plans to pay for his tax cutting ideas and I don't see any Republicans on the hill providing any empirical or evidentiary backing on such a massive tax cut proposal or path. What's so much more is that fact that Trump, announced no concept or understanding that with tax cuts must also come Spending Cuts to match. None of that was discussed or even hinted at as being something he truly understood.

Lets face it - Trickle Down Economics did not work. In fact, history tells us that when you drastically cut taxes and you simultaneously fail to reduce spending, you end up doing nothing but raising the deficit and we are already Trillions in the hole in the aggregate - all fueled by hundreds of billions in deficits being allowed to fester under the surface with nothing but more borrowing from China, Germany and Japan to show for it.

Trump, talked about "Making America Great Again." Yet, for all of his business acumen, he does not seem to understand that at the core of "greatness" in America was the central foundation of Innovation and Innovation must be paid for - it must be invested in and it must be incubated until it derives and produces real greatness in the form of new technologies that can be patented in the United States and then exported abroad for revenues that lead to growth here at home and thus, the potential for truly "great" expansion of the pie for more Americans. THAT is how you achieve real "greatness" in America. Not by unleashing more environmentally polluting fuel sources that don't provide the kind of systemic economic potential that spans the country without leaving behind a massive carbon footprint.

The more this President leads, the more it becomes clear he has no idea what he's doing as the "Leader."

Were are the Trumpets on this? This is a real problem for supporters of Trump, because he ran on a platform of doing what's right for the little guy, remember? How does a $4 Trillion Tax Cut without cuts in spending lead to "making America great again." Reaganomics failed, remember? Trickle Down never trickled down, recall?

Trump supporters were supposed to be electing a different kind of leader into office, remember? Yet, he wants to give the top 1% even more of a windfall, drive up the deficit in the process and do absolutely nothing to make his plan revenue neutral. Yet, somehow, you think Donald Trump is working "hard for you."

    Unreal.

The red state model: Bankrupt the country.

Just to be clear I support Trump on some issues, but this here is one of the reasons why I didn't vote for him in the election. His tax cuts aren't paid for and will bankrupt this nation. But people don't know any better so we have to take this path so that they can learn.

This shows that the government spends far too much. We need to reign in our wildly out of control spending.

Cut every department by 10% immediately. Then slowly wind things down from there. Money to the Feds is like throwing it down a rat hole.

That would be fantastic. Government is hopelessly bloated. Just kill it and start from scratch.

Jefferson advocated having a revolution every once in a while. We are so overdue.

Trump, just like Republican presidents since Reagan dream of a US that is basically at a 3rd world level with all the wealth concentrated into the hands of a few oligarchs.

They are desperate to destroy the US from within and with the help of their Russian propaganda arm are able to keep those with malleable uninformed minds marching to the beat of their drum.

What "wildly out of control spending"?

The US Govt in 2016 spend less, proportionate to GDP, than 10 of the 12 years Reagan/Bush1 were in office.

It's bloated. If we were smart with our money, we could get by on half of what the government takes in and spends now.

It is the same crap we've heard for 40 years that has yet to work. Cut taxes for the rich and the growth will come.

This is precisely why we have so much debt.

When the right is challenged to show evidence that this has ever worked, they can't. I was a huge Reagan fan and a fan of Supply Side Economics, until it didn't work.

Note that the debt began to grow under Reagan. This is what started it all.

Slashing taxes for the billionaire class, including elimination of the estate tax so trust fund babies can get a billion tax free while the deficit explodes.

Same old failed "trickle down" polices than ran up the debt and redistributed wealth and income from the middle class to the top.

Only the fools that bought is lies expected anything different.

Everything mentioned in the press conference seems promising. I look forward to the details and if they are as I hope they are, hope we can get it through Congress.

An illusion. The market will quickly adjust to you having "more money in your pocket," and we will have a quick bout of inflation - and those extra dollars will buy less.

What do you do for a living? Follow your income back up-stream. Do ANY of your clients/customers have ANY government contracts? Do any of you customers or their customers make part of their income from government programs or government matching funds? Government spending is the Kevin Bacon of American wealth. You're simply kidding yourself if you don't see that.

Government takes in trillions of dollars, takes a cut, and then gives it back to us (how nice of them!).

We'd all be richer if we never let go of that money in the first place.

LOL, if you lived here a drove around town you'd be asking yourself "why do I even pay tax's"! You literally CAN NOT drive on any road here without constantly swerving to avoid CRATERS! There is so much Governmental bloat today they are simply sucking the life from states. Burn dead beat workers, kill redundancy and spend money prudently and put more back in the hands of those that pass it around to local merchants!

Would you? Take every aspect of your business - transportation of goods through public ally funded airports and sea port and over public ally funded highways - your electrical usage over government funded power grids and damns and nuclear power plants - take everything, put a privately funded price tag on it and PROVE to me you would have more money in your pocket at the end of the day.
