Didn't see this up anywhere and was curious to get both sides opinions.

This really worries me just because of the precedence I feel it will set.

While I am a pro LGBT supporter, my bigger concern with this issue is that it will certainly create MUCH more division between the parties and people in our country.

Will the 30+ vastly Republican filled states in "flyover country" pass similar laws to any state with "sanctuary city" laws? Will they do the same to any country with heavily restricted fire arm laws?

Will countries then follow CA suite and will we see even more division in our country?

They can't really enforce it. California can bitch and moan all they want but they have no legal recourse to prevent any government worker from travelling to Texas or anywhere else. And if they tried to retaliate against anyone for doing so then it would blow up in their face.

    California is so stupid.

What if other states that didn't like:

    • High Gas Taxes (because they thought it was abusive)
    • Medical Marijuana Legalization (because they thought it was abusive to the populace)
    • Sanctuary City allowances (abusive and dangerous to their visiting citizens)
    • Gun Control (Violated Constitutional Rights)
... and therefor banned their government employees from traveling to California or having conferences there?

This kind of petty, intolerant bull crap put out there by the Liberals of California only hurts us as a nation.

It doesn't matter. They will come here anyway when their paychecks disappear.

They can enforce it if the travel was being paid for by the State.

At some point, we need to let Cali go, for the good of the nation. Once they're officially a separate nation, they can be invaded, subdued, and conquered and reintegrated at gunpoint if necessary.

Your prior businesses don't think so. They seem pretty happy.

I think my next truck will be a Texas built Toyota Tundra.

Sure. Why not. Turn about is fair play and they probably don't mind these clowns not visiting their states anyway.

Can you let me move my business and home first?

This thread really does prove my point though, the first thing both people say is "you deserve it!".

Things are just going to accelerate and accelerate /sigh

Curious where the actual battle fields will be though....

We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in California, we shall fight on the mountains and deserts, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our nation, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender!

Nothing no longer surprises me about California.

It's bad enough when California tells you what kind of gun you can buy or what kind of light bulb you can use or when you can start a fire in you're fireplace or wood stove when it's freaking freezing outside.

A few weeks ago I needed a larger chain saw than I already have. I needed a chain saw with a 22" bar.

Every chain saw that was top of the line that I wanted to purchase was illegal in California.

Doing some research I discover that California is the only state that regulates chain saws.

There are politically correct chain saws approved by the state of California and there are politically incorrect chain saws that are illegal in California.

I wonder if toilet paper is next that the liberals in California plan to go after ?

Unfortunately, LA is pretty much going to be ground zero for the operation, but, we'll grant amnesty to our allies.

Actually, let me adjust that. We'll grant amnesty to anyone that choses not to aid the lunatic fringe left. No reason the rational liberals and democrats should suffer for the insanity of Pelosi and the Progressive Elite

and larger cost of living. My $53,745 GDP per capita goes much further than your $58, 619 GDP per capita. My home would triple or quadruple in price if it were in California. Good luck affording that.

I paid $155k for my (4/2/2 with a storage building and an extra 2 car carport) house 13 years ago. It would appraise for about $250k now. I'm on 1 acre and I live 30 minutes from Downtown Dallas just outside the city limits of a small town with a good school system. What would that cost in California?

It would have cost your three or four times as much.

    That is how housing works.
