    http://www.politicususa.com/2017/06...royed-big-republican-lie-healthcare-bill.html

40 economists and six Nobel peace prize winners agree. This HC bill will be devastating to millions, while a few in Congress get to fulfill their obligations to their donors.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is an act of domestic terrorism that would in the end, trump 10,000 9/11's. This bill in the end will kill millions. It's murder, and it's all on the Republican party if the bill goes through. This is true evil in the works here folks. Let's hope evil doesn't win.

This is the letter from those economists:
Based on our reading of the bill, we believe that the Better Care Reconciliation Act would reduce coverage nearly as much as the House bill that the Congressional Budget Office estimated would take coverage away entirely from 23 million Americans and narrow coverage for millions more. At a time when economic change is making life more difficult for all but the relatively well-to- do, denying people to access health insurance is a giant step in the wrong direction.

The Senate bill will expose millions to increased out-of-pocket health care costs. It would base tax credits on a plan with greatly increased cost sharing and deductibles that could run to
$12,000 per family or more. Far from improving Obamacare, the Senate bill would reduce assistance for the millions of people who buy coverage through the state and federal marketplaces. Many now eligible for tax credits would be denied them entirely. States would be allowed to opt out of regulations that allow less healthy people to buy insurance at reasonable rates.

The savings from slashing health subsidies and coverage would go largely to bestowing tax cuts on upper-income tax filers. The richest 0.1 percent of tax filers would receive tax cuts averaging over $200,000 per return.

We call on Congress to work on legislation to improve the health delivery system, in general, and The Affordable Care Act, in particular. The goal should be to hold down health costs and increase access to affordable, quality health coverage for all. Unfortunately, the Better Care Reconciliation Act threatens reduced coverage and higher costs for those who continue to have it.

So far nothing I've seen makes me think this "bill" is a good idea. What's the benefit of removing an entitlement, and what's the benefit of having 20+ million Americans back to the uninsured ranks?

The Senate bill will expose millions to increased out-of-pocket health care costs.

Obamacare did exactly that with cancelled plans, higher premiums, and skyrocketing deductibles. Did millions die?

Funny, Obamacare raised my premiums from $172 per month to over $800, it made two medications which cost a combined $43 for a three month supply of each totally unaffordable to me, my deductible is $12,500, I've already had 4 doctors cancelled on me, and you said nothing. If you really want to piss me off then tell me how good I have it with Obamacare.

Obamacare didn't raise your premiums. The self inflicted wounds of Republicans to turn away the exchanges on purpose did that. Thank them!

What specific part of Obamacare do you think raised your premiums?

Negative! Republican governors did that by denying the medicaid expansion which would have equaled those costs out through time. And as a result of those decisions by Republicans, rural hospitals had to close their doors. http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/georgias-deal-tighten-er-access

Republicans can lie all they want, because the majority of their voters are brainwashed and completely clueless. Any facts they don't like they have been taught to say is fake or biased, while they watch actual biased and fake news.

Until more people get out to vote to silence the extreme right wing brainwashed constituency, the republicans are going to continue to cater to them because they just keep getting elected by being dishonest, hypocritical, and fear/hate mongering.

But of course, to the brainwashed, its always someone elses' fault

    You're the one lying.
The death rate increased under Obamacare. This bill will do much better, by inuring those who need it, and not requiring health insurance from those who don't.

Oh sure, your likely 172 dollar plan that probably had an absurdly high deductible and basically covered nothing. God forbid those selling insurance actually provide coverage. That's the part the dishonest right often leaves out, they had basically scam plans where they paid money but didn't actually get any coverage because their deductible was so high

Sorry, I don't believe dishonest righties and their anecdotal evidence

Obamacare didn't impact employer based insurance much if at all. My insurance increased at the same pace it had been increasing before the ACA.

So much drama.... How did Americans manage to not become extinct prior to the implementation of Obamacare!

One of my biggest oppositions to rushing Obamacare through, was that it I predicted it would be nearly impossible to resend an entitlement. People get too comfortable and accustomed to their freebies, and start thinking they're entitled to them. In this case some people have come to feel so entitled to their Obamacare health insurance that they're in a panic now "OMG we'll die without it!"

I hate to tell you Obamacare is already devastating to 100s of millions. There are already MILLIONS today without healthcare insurance, 14.3% of the population to be exact.

This is an argument I hear over and over. You will pay for people that can't or won't buy insurance either way. Hospitals are for profit and so are insurance providers and doctors. So when the poor get sick they get medical care via emergency rooms etc. When the bill is not paid hospitals raise the cost on everyone that can pay. Insurance premiums rise to cover increased costs.
