Since the shooting I have not come across any threads on the updates of his condition. I have actually checked now and again just wondering what was going through his mind and his family's mind in retrospect. Has anyone else been wondering if and how this horrible experience might have affected is outlook on life and his political positions? This type of thing has to make a person do some soul searching and pondering about life in general. It must be hell to go through the recovery process from something so physically and emotionally traumatic.

How truely pathetic ... You hope he's come to see the error of his ways? So the sins you've deemed him guilty of justify the attempted assassination?

What is your problem? That I was thoughtful about the incident even weeks after it was off your radar?

So we are supposed to believe you care about Scalise's condition after making several boastful posts about how whites are dying off in the US? Decoding this post even more, clearly you are hopeful that Hodgkinson's shooting has caused Scalise to repent, so to speak, realizing the error of his ways and reevaluating his political positions.

Pretty sick Peppermint, but it's to be expected.

It's unfortunate (((they))) feel a need to hide their real motivations. Society would be better off if we knew what they were really all about.

I would imagine he is struggling to survive and recover and doesnt give a rats ass about politics at the moment. I would imagine people on both sides of the fence hope for a speedy recovery. I also imagine my 2nd sentence does not apply to you per your OP.

I wonder if after facing something as horrific as this, a person wouldn't make the decision that the political discourse in Washington has just gotten so out of control that it's time to do something else. I know I probably would. Every day is a gift, and spending time watching every nasty thing from ugly statements from the President to ugly statements from the Minority leader to anger and unrest, makes those gifts just hard to appreciate. You couldn't pay me enough to be a politician.

I wish him well, and I hope he continues to heal every day. Thank goodness for the first responders whose care helped to save him, and the doctors who I know are doing everything they can to make him well.

Not that you were thoughtful about it, but that your thoughts were that he would change his "outlook on life and his political positions" because of the horrible incident.

Why is that what you are "thoughtful" about?

This is an absolutely disgusting attempt of manipulating her thoughtful and compassionate message into something completely false. You should be ashamed for yourself.

You're obviously not familiar with her other posts. She is gratified by her political enemies dying or being killed, and I have examples of this. That's why those of us in the know see this thread for what it is. And you probably missed the part of her post where she expressed hope that this shooting has caused Scalise to change his political positions.

Thank you for this update. I was wondering how the GOP Senator is doing. A serious gunshot wound takes several months to recover from. I recall that his wounds were serious.

    I hope he recovers well.

He was just vulnerable to a stalking wacko who found a bunch of vulnerable GOP senators.

No one deserves to be shot by a fanatic.

    Yup.

When anyone is really sick or injured they normally don't think much of anything except resting and healing.

I saw where his condition had been downgraded. I hope he'll be okay.

So you don't see a problem with trying to turn this shooting into a "greater good" situation? Would you be this understanding if I openly express that I hope the victims of an Islamic terror attack change their political positions?

That means he is responding to treatment and is healing.

He probably still cannot live on his own outside of the hospital.

Gunshots do deadly things to your body.

He is lucky he got to a hospital fast.

No idea what Islamic terror has to do with what I posted.

You wouldn't be happy if a Democrat changed his stances on things? I would.
