    I have to agree. If you are affiliated with a party, once the campaign is over, normally one would let bygones be bygones. That is how the best politicians play it. They can only return to fight another day if the party as a whole is at least somewhat united and trending in a positive direction.

    I'm not big on conspiracy. More analytical than cerebral. I see patterns and try to analyze from what I read here. My instincts tell me to beware, even weary.

    Well, reread it-- it's not typical PP.

    Many on the left really can't understand the POV of the other side, and IMO PP may be young enough to be one of those...so she is honestly wondering if Scalese's experience will cause him to modify his philosophy. Given her general POV that is a sincere question.

    Alright, enough tomfoolery ... let's get this bad boy back on topic...

    Can't say I've lost any sleep thinking about this wounded republican, but it's good to hear that he hasn't croaked. Thank you for that fine report, 'Twist.

    Hopefully he'll be back on his feet crafting more (horrible) bills and making more (misguided) votes in the House asap.

    As for that tragic shooting possibly affecting any political positions and putting his pristine A+ rating with the NRA in jeopardy ... HIGHLY unlikely.

    republicans are as stubborn as they are misguided....

    That is a great article! I remember when it was published a few years ago. My husband and I were mad. Not because we don't want black people here - we aren't paranoid racists or white nationalists. But because this state is a well kept secret and we want it to stay that way.

    Everything in that article is pretty spot on, including the comments about our police force.
