What a pathetic lie. This whole think began when a single lawyer was accused of donating to Obama. Now its exploded by the right winger where every lawyer was a staunch Obama supported.[/QUOTE]

You should do some research. About half of the lawyers donated to Clinton.

You're the one who made the claim, and you're asking someone else to tell you how to fact check yourself!!!! That's rich!

You should also take note that it was TRUMP'S Justice Dept that assigned Mueller to this investigation.

But please, tell us all here how it is the Democrats & the MSM that is at fault for that as well.

It was a rhetorical point and a shorthanded way of telling you to use your computer yourself.

A lot of people work for the Russians and a lot of them are Americans. Every country has someone on the payroll to lobby for their interests. This is not in dispute. What has not been proven yet, and it may or may not be, did they try and influence our election? I have no doubt that it is very possible but many on this forum are accuser, prosecutor, jury, judge and executioner.

Well Comey did say he leaked FBI documents in order to force a special investigator.

Since he had an agenda with that leak, can we really be sure of its accuracy?

Other than the words from your extreme right leaning link your plagiarized the above, you still have NOT refuted anything I have said about YOUR party's Justice Dept assigning Mueller to this investigation.

You can't even name the claim now, can you.
Neither can I. You name the claim and I will Google it up, which seems far beyond your puny capabilities.

You can't. He Whitewashed the Hillary "investigation" and rigged the Trump one with leaks.

The Podesta Group (Owned by Jon Podesta's Brother) RetroactivelyUpdates Filings to Disclose Lobbying Work Done on Behalf of Vladimir Putin

I'm sure that Hero of the SubRight Jake Tapper will be covering this on his show today.

The Podesta Group belatedly filed several new disclosures with the Justice Department on Aug. 17 related to work the firm completed between 2012 and 2014 on behalf of a pro-Russia Ukrainian think tank.

Back in April, the powerful Washington lobbying firm run by Clinton ally Tony Podesta filed a document admitting its work for the pro-Russia European Centre for a Modern Ukraine may have principally benefited a foreign government. New disclosures revealed dozens of previously unreported interactions the firm made with influential government offices, including Hillary Clinton's State Department and the office of former Vice President Joe Biden, while lobbying on behalf of the center. Embattled ex-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort failed to disclose his extensive lobbying efforts on behalf of the center at the time as well.

Anyone lobbying or doing public relations on behalf of foreign governments is required to register as a foreign agent in compliance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The Aug. 17 filings include short-form registration statements for six Podesta Group employees and an amendment to the firm's registration statement that includes a list of political contributions made by relevant employees throughout 2013.

A review of those donations shows both parties received cash from Podesta Group lobbyists.
    ...
One of the filings is for Tony Podesta himself, who was a bundler for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. Tony and his brother John--Clinton's 2016 campaign chairman--co-founded the lobbying firm in 1988.

Interestingly, Paul Manafort was the subject of white-hot searing by the media, and yet -- get this -- he advised the very group that Hillary Bundler Tony Podesta, brother of Hillary campaign manager Jon Podesta, now confesses he himself represented.

Exit Question: Think this will get the same amount of play?

Exit Answer: No, you don't think that.

Not my party. I'm a Trumpster. Rod Rosenstein was a left over from Obama. The President and Congress don't appoint the special prosecutor. They may recommend it.

No, that has not been proven yet.

But, even at the time, I was very surprised when Trump announced that Manafort was going to be his campaign manager. I knew who he was. And I knew of his role working for the Kremlin trying to boost the prospects of their man in the Ukraine Viktor Yanokovich.

It seemed an extremely odd choice at the time. But even then, Trump's chaotic campaign was a haven for dirty tricksters, con men, and people on the make.

The idea that there might be a Russia connection did not occur to me at the time. I would have thought it far fetched.

Now, of course, we know that Manafort sat in on Donald Jr's meeting with Russians who promised dirt on Hillary.

Of course, we have seen the way Trump has dodged, lied and bullied as this has evolved. We are also aware taht he is obsessed with it.

Had Trump been totally innocent, and had he been at all smart, he would have gotten in front of the issue of Russia trying to influence the election, and ramrodded the effort to find out "what the hell is going on"

    Instead, he did the opposite.

Your weak attempts to pretend that repeated contacts between people in the Trump campaign and Russians operatives are both innocent and routine don't hold water.

No other campaign in US history has ever behaved in such a manner.

Of course, we were not aware of it at the time. These details trickled out over the course of several months.

I would not have assumed that Trump would have colluded with the Russians, even though they had been in his pockets for years. I assumed that even he would not be that reckless or that dumb.

His behavior as President places both assumptions in doubt.

I do not know where this will lead. But Mueller clearly knows a lot more than the public does at this point.

I believe Trump never got out in front of Russia trying to influence the Election is because he never believed they did. It is always nice to assume but I will defend the President until some proof is laid out and presented. If he is guilty then I move on. We have been through all this before. Just because people know Russians and do business with Russians does not make them crooks or conspirators. In Trumps case I would say he could be guilty because he didn't listen to his advisors or maybe he did listen to his advisors and he brought on some of the wrong people. I haven't seen the facts, have you? If dealing with Russia is treason then Hillary and her gang should be looking over their shoulders.

Ha ha I love it when people either do not have the desire or he ability to debate honestly resort to calling people lib earls or trolls. You should just put everyone on ignore if you do not have the balls to debate honestly.

I understand the reasons I just don't agree on giving up any of our civil liberties. 1984 is pretty close ,huh? All the cameras in place? How about ECHO listening in on all your conversations? Convenience? Those Smart TV's really are Smart. Your computer watching you yet? You don't really need to turn on your Cam they can do it. The $10,000 limit is to keep you from leaving the country and having an overseas bank account where you can stash YOUR money. The next step is a cashless society and a number.

Why have an investigation if your innocent?

Here we go. The ol' right wing, "discredit the investigator, and therefore discredit their findings".....

What you fail to realize here is that no matter what they find, the defense gets to refute and evidence. Its not like they can cherry pick. All evidence must be presented in context. Both sides have to either prove or disprove evidence.

I also find it funny that the right didn't have any problem with anything that Darrell Issa or Trey Gowdy presented..........

Our government is what secures our liberty. When we have unscrupulous people in government, and they make laws, then we lose liberty. That's another reason we need to get to the bottom of what Russia did and who helped.

Sure we're being watched, and the amount of data collected is stunning. People still manage to do illegal things and not get caught though. We've been under surveillance since the Patriot Act… and that was, you know, to keep us safe from "terror."

It's actually worse than what you posted. You might want to check into the 5000 data points on each of 220 Million Americans collected by Cambridge Analytica. The same company that owns Cambridge Analytics also has a large share of H&R Block. Imagine what a company can do, as far as targeted marketing, if they know 5000 data points about you. Then let them cross reference those 5000+ data points with your voter registration and party affiliation data, like the database left unsecured for many, many days, and they can predict more about you than you would ever want someone to know. Then unleash that kind of power using targeted propaganda, through social media during an election, and amplify it with bots and trolls. If you're paranoid about your smart TV, then don't even Google Cambridge Analytica, who owns it, or which candidate they worked for. If you're brave enough to look, you'll understand why this investigation is necessary.

The only way Trump would not know taht the Russians were trying to influence the US election after June of last year was to never turn on a television or read a newspaper.

And since we already know that most of Trump's senior people met with Russians, and that Trump knew about a lot of these meetings, your assumption that he believed that the Russians weren't involved doesn't even begin to hold water.

Perhaps you can explain why Trump refused his intelligence briefings? He did so, beginning after the Convention, and after the election as well.

Doing business with Russians does not make you a crook.

Trump has been a crook all his life. He learned at his father's knee. His long history of bad and broken deals, defaults, unpaid bills, lawsuits and his habit of lying about everything make a mockery of any attempt to pretend that Trump is an innocent party or an honest man.

We already know that Trump's son may not have colluded, but did meet with Russians with that in mind, and was clearly enthusiastic about the idea. Apparantly, so was Manafort and Kushner. This is fact. it won't wish away.

Trump does not listen to his advisors. Anyone who has watched him for the last eight months knows that.

"I haven't seen the facts, have you?"

Not all of them, by any means.

But enough of them to refute your entire post.

Cambridge Analytica is controlled by Robert Mercer, the same man who pulled Donald Trump aside at a party in the Hamptons this time last year, ushered him into a room, and introduced him to Steve Bannon (Mercer also controls Breitbart) and Kellyanne Conway, and said he was writing the checks.

Cambridge and Mercer also have Russian oligarch partners.

Cambridge Analytica specifically cites that they use data to change audience behavior on their website. They're also suspected of using their data in the Brexit vote.

Like the left has never demonized someone in order to discredit an investigation (Ken Starr, Daryll Issa, etc.)?
Please  You insult everyone's intelligence.

    That's comforting.

Issa and Gowdy were heading up congressional committees! Not quite the same as the deal Mueller has. This is a classic case of comparing apples to oranges while straining to make a point.
