Every industry in the US had problems in the 1930s due to the Great Depression. I've been told that the gun culture in the US started in the 1960's. The NRA was an organization promoting gun safety until that time and their President in the 1930's favored gun licensing

Not necessarily. the first semi-automatic rifle was manufactured in 1885 by Mannlicher, followed in 1902 by the Browning semi-auto shotgun. Semi-auto rifles first appeared in WWI on a limited basis. Actually the M-1 Garand was the first mass produced semi-auto. Winchester manufactured the first semi-auto rifles for commercial use in 1903-5. The first semi-automatic rifle adopted and widely issued by a major military power (France) was the Fusil Automatique Modele 1917.

I clearly understand the limits of the second amendment. What I find hysterical are gun nuts that believe that they have the right to bear arms that would enable them to be part of a militia capable of defeating a foreign power. NRA members are comical in the first degree, that said I am fully in favor of gun rights, the ones that Madison said that we need and that should be protected. Gun nuts defending their rights actually have no clue that their rights were gone before they were born

You are making the assumption that all gun owners are retarded like the typical gun nut. They are not and most would find statements like yours comical.

The Soviet Union was often perhaps incorrectly referred to as Russia, again many do not understand this, as you show

You are referring to the constitution body, not the 2nd amendment.

That's about the tenth time you have claimed that, all incorrect. I'll play along one more time: can you cite the constitution or the 2nd amendment or any other amendment where it states people can own only arms approved and designated by the government.

Browning invented the auto 5 for the military, over a 115 years ago?

    says who?
What makes an M1 garand less effective than a 1903?

Do you just open up your mouth and crap pours out?

The constitution says you have the right to due process too. What's your point?

Does the constitution explain what due process is? Or does the court system set up by the government decide that?

    Think

What's the difference between the court deciding on the 2nd or the 4th?
Take your own advice and think

Well if you really had the rights that Madison set out in the 2nd, then you would have stinger missiles and a 3000 round gatling gun when they came....................

But since you have no rights to bear arms that can enable you to be part of a modern and effective militia, all you have is your semi and musket. They have drones to determine your exact location to send in the missile. In short they do not even have to come into your home to vaporize you..............

They might come in if they want your musket however, and you can't stop them with your spitball shooters

You had no cell phone data when the 5th was written. What's your point?

All there were was muskets and inaccurate cannons when Madison wrote, but Madison did not mention them, he said that you have the right to bear arms, understanding that new arms would be created. New arms that the government does not allow you to own, making your feasibility to be part of a modern and effective militia capable of defeating a foreign power impossible.

But you keep throwing in new stuff so as not to admit that I am correct.

That is not what the constitution says at all.
Some say tomato, some say tomäto; some say arms, some say guns
I gather you believe TV, radio, and internet blogs do not have a right to free speech.
