that is not truthful since the ranking senator from California is trying to reinstitute and expanded version of the clinton gun ban and she has dozens of Dem congress critters and senate snakes supporting it.

since every group that wants to restrict our rights in this area supports registration, why should any sane gun owner support something that every anti gun group wants?

Sorry but any sane gun owner should have an interest in keeping guns out of the hands of the bad guys while ensuring the good guys still can have guns. Claiming everyone that wants to accomplish that goal is anti gun is just idiotic.

Please provide any evidence that an order was drafted using registration information to confiscate guns in Puerto Rice. Or have you lost the thread of the discussion?

Whatever do you mean by the quality and degree of gun ownership. The only quality a gun needs is to fulfill the purpose for which it was purchased.

Then actually demonstrate precisely how firearms registration would go about achieving that goal. Demonstrate how the registration of privately, legally owned firearms, will prevent them from either being stolen, or otherwise utilized in the commission of a crime. Demonstrate that the registration process can actually deliver on this promise, and how it actually does such.

Quality and degree of gun ownership in my observations is qualified and quantified by the investment a gun owner has, many gun owners and collectors have a large financial investment, and seek much training, reload ammo, obtaining tools and gunsmith training, membership in ranges and organizations that support the Second Amendment.

As opposed to a person that merely purchases a firearm(s) as an impulse purchase and never voluntarily follows through with any other validation.

Puerto Rico, has never been secretive about its intentional gun control, in its public manifesto of gun regulations you will read of Government intent to use gun registration as a ways and means of confiscation.

In a recent Court action, the entire Police based firearms licensing system was declared Unconstitutional and ordered disbanded, Government has yet to comply in current non compliance.

In truth, New York City is most akin to Puerto Rico, and likely next in line, should gun control reforms be Court ordered.

major fail there. registering my guns has nothing to do with keeping them out of the hands of bad guys. IF you have a weapon stolen THEN you report it and it goes on a national list of stolen firearms. registering the gun before that happens doesn't make it any more likely of being recovered.

so you are not being accurate

Nope sorry. In case you are unaware America is a different country with it's own government and Constitution. Keep trying so far no one has found a single example of gun registration leading to confiscation in America.

First of course as previously mentioned Puerto Rico is not the United States. And finally of course even though Puerto Rico is irrelevent even there you cannot find actual registration leading to actual confiscation.

You guys need to give up and just admit your paranoia is unjustified by fact.

Except that nowhere did I claim that registering good guy guns will keep them out of the hands of bad guys. So you are deliberatly missrepresenting my position.

Go read my plan again and then debate what I actually proposed. It was a requirement that all guns be registered with a major penalty for not registrating as well as a large cash reward for turning in violators.

The proposal has indeed been read, and thoroughly eviscerated on the basis of being devoid of anything resembling even basic logic.

so when anti gun posters start fluffing foreign nations lower crime rates we will reject that.

registration lists has been used to confiscate or require abandonment of firearms in NJ and NYC

every group that wants to ban or restrict gun rights supports registration. You support registration. that alone is a sound reason to oppose it.

I hope if your plan were passed, those who refuse to register the guns would resist those who try to penalize them and the people who passed such an unconstitutional and fascist law

you are anti gun owner and anti second amendment

    you want registration

that is all the proof we need to oppose registration since your goal is to harass honest gun ownership

Then there is no justified reason for supporting such a notion.

UK executed a long term strategy for their ban which also extended into the erosion of other civil rights. The following article explains how it was done and the methodology used,
    http://www.guncite.com/journals/okslip.html
A similar plan was laid out by the Dems following Pete Shields blueprint
    https://armsandthelaw.com/archives/2013/09/how_to_ban_guns.php
Then, caught by an undercover reporter, a Hillary delegate explaining the strategy,

So, CJ, the paranoia exhibited by gun rights advocates is not unjustified, the plan has been well articulated by the Dems for well over two decades. Considering the antis are not beyond using lies and ‘bait and switch’ tactics as explained by the HRC delegate, your word nor that of any anti gun advocate can be accepted, rather, is subject to extreme skepticism and ultimately resisted.
If you truly believe otherwise... well then, you have been indoctrinated to be among the useful to their cause.

Not really interested in your fantasies. If you have any evidence of registration leading to confiscation in the United States put them foreward.

Nobody supported such a notion. If you can't debate intelligently the plan I actually put foreward why waste my time or yours.

That is really stupid and name calling doesn't make you sound intelligent. I am a gun owner, have my own range and still support registration.
