The only option isn't between today's lost Japan and the oppressive feudal days. The middle ground is what the country was like between the two; standard nationalism under the protection of the Patriarchy.

The same goes for the US - we were a better nation before feminism. Life before 1990 in the US were the better days, for sure. We are a crumbling empire at this point - we rot from within. Gender roles clearly are not natural when the whole thing falls apart the instant men can no longer beat women into submission.

If men stop being the protectors, society falls - imagine if every man decided to stop being cops, security, military. We would crumble. Similarly, women - when they left the home and decided being a professional was more important than begin a wife/mother, they began the slow path to destruction.
