    Females were equal until the introduction of the Y chromosome.
    Caring for children and a house should be a shared job- why is it expected that women should be lumbered with it?

    As opposed to Libya and Singapore? Your claim doesn't make sense in terms of either total population or population density.

    And the real problem isn't about population or population density, it's about the shape of the demographic pyramid. The problem the developed world faces is that the proportion of our population that works is dropping, which is going to increase the tax burden on the working population and harm economic growth.
