Governments have a moral and practical obligation in protecting helpless life from the errors or willful misconduct of others.
Since when is having sex and/or becoming pregnant been "errors" or willful misconduct or become crimes?
No "people" are killed in an abortion. Abortion IS dealing with the "consequences". War, let's learn to deal with the consequences without killing actual born people....
Sinner, heretic. How dare you attempt to thwart God's will? If Ga-HAWD has seen it fit in his Holy Wisdom for you to die, you must submit to the Divine Will and DIE. And no cheating by taking drugs to make you suffer less either. The entire Medical Profession is UNGODLY and must be FORBIDDEN Hey, I've not only solved abortion but the Health Care Crisis too. This politics stuff is eezy-peezy
Prove it. You can't because they don't. Now try really hard to address the topic.....and it is not Planned Parenthood and whacky conspiracy theories.
Only totalitarian governments have rights - that they claim for themselves at the expense of their subjects. Subjects, not citizens... very important distinction.
Dude by the time the average notices she's pregnant the human being in her womb is recognizably human. By the end of day seven, day seven the child is no longer anything any rational honest observer could call a blob of goo.

Of course a human fetus is human... when it's aborted it doesn't matter what it looks like. Now maybe you can address the post of mine you quoted.
No, it's not considered a "person" until birth. IF you think it's a legal person then it has no right to use another's body to sustain it's life, NO person has that right.
Your cheek cells are, indeed, "human life". Your entire DNA is in each of those cheek cells you wash down the drain every time you brush your teeth or spit on the sidewalk. Given the appropriate technology, you can be cloned from a single cheek cell.
A skin cell might be "helpless human life." Once an actual person has developed, it becomes a moral imperative for society to protect it. Before that stage is attained, the State has no business dictating to any woman in such a private matter.
OK, the topic is now guns! I like guns , have several, and have never had anyone try to take them away. Does anyone here hunt? What do you go for? Bear? Deer? I love being out in the woods hunting even when I get nothing. Turkeys are quite difficult, they tend to sneak up on me when I'm not paying attention. I used to be pretty good at popping squirrels at a distance but probably not so good anymore.... I still am a pretty good pistol shot but old age tells on that, too, sometimes. I do like a good gun.... Guns and shooting are a fun recreation .... They are also good for when I lived alone way out in the country , just holding one usually meant any strangers just drove away. Anyone who wants a gun should own one.....and they do..... Guns, guns, guns, maybe I should write a song along those lines...about guns... I see everyone here like guns.... I do , too, like guns....
