If someone is deemed violent, in fact, too violent to own a gun, are they also too violent to be a part of society? Should they be paid to stay home or in a government regulated housing facility? How could they go to work and not become violent? Wouldn't they be just as dangerous around anyone? I get that this guy's pet peeve was high school kids who hated him and tormented him. I get that he couldn't take it any more because he was mentally weak and unstable. I'm not condoning his actions.

Its impossible to remove all guns that are in the country, and anyone seriously advocating it would be living in a fantasy world. Oiow, thats a reverse strawman. What the GC leadership and vocal bulk of their followers publicly claim they want is Aus/UK style gun control, aka: the revocation of gun rights and the institution of gun privledges (thats what Australia and the UK have). Both countries restrict the majority of their citizens from having any firearms at all. Neither of those nations even consider 'self defense' a valid reason to apply for a permit. The end result of this agenda, if successful, would be that the vast majority of americans would not be legally allowed to own firearms. Given that the GC leaders arent total morons, we can logically deduce that this is their intent, and the intent of all their followers who are capable if logical deduction. So which are you? Do you believe that most americans should not be legally allowed to own any firearm like in Aus and UK, or are you incapable of logically deducing the obvious intent of your political leaders?
The fact that supporters of greater firearm-related restrictions continue to knowingly engage in intellectual dishonesty is what stops actual debate from being had. If their position was so valid, so justified, they would be making every effort to insure that their talking points are one hundred percent valid, and that no fault could ever be found with them.
We should quit feeding trolls whose arguments have been fully destroyed. Let's not rehash what we've exposed. Let's move forward. Gun control does not work. All this stuff ultimately leads to registration and registration, historically ends with confiscation. It doesn't matter what the left calls it, that is a historical observation they cannot dispute. What we need to do is identify people and deal with them BEFORE the carnage begins. In the case of Nickolas Cruz, the background check did not work. And, the more I hear about the guy, the more I'm wondering how even those affected don't go after those responsible instead of venting their hatred on inanimate objects. This guy was in school fights; he was reported for shooting small animals; he posed on the Internet with guns and knives threatening to shoot up a school UNDER HIS REAL NAME. The F.B.I. knew he was having mental issues and being treated. Why in the Hell was he not in custody already? How come people are not mad at law enforcement for not doing their job? How come the F.B.I. gets a free ride? In Hollywood a person loses their career just for touching a girl's ass and we let the F.B.I. get a free ride after their incompetence left 17 students dead. As a country, we are really screwed up. How come those feeding that monster drugs and supposedly treating him were not provided the facts it takes to justify putting a person into protective custody (like a freaking mental institution)?????? Let's quit babysitting the trolls and the paid shills that want to control every conversation about the Second Amendment on this board. They are about control; I'm about preventing the mass shootings from ever happening in the first place. We don't need the left's participation in this debate. Silence is consent. It is immature and desperate when the left has to attempt to hijack a thread they cannot control. My thread is not about any imaginary differences between the "gop" and Demonrats. My words are a call to arms (no pun intended) for people to quit belly-aching and DO something. And so far, the right has allowed the desperate left to control what this discussion is about. The left is not letting a good crisis go to waste and if those of you who are gun owners don't DO something, you're going to accomplish two things: 1) You're going to give credibility to the control freak 2) You're going to leave your Rights up to a popularity vote that you don't even campaign in.
