I just don't think of it as a big deal one way or the other as God can neither be proven nor disproven by science. Thus it boils down to personal preference. If one prefers the notion that there is no intelligence-directed organization or will in regards to -- for instance -- physics or life or death then God does not exist. If it comforts one, however, to consider an overarching intellect in charge of everything then God does exist. It harms nothing either way.
I find people who believe that these people who were dying saw God etc. as gullible. There are people who have these experiences all the time. I remember my poor dad would have all these hallucinations near death seeing people in the house etc. some people would say that was proof that there was an afterlife and there was God. But no it’s just damage to the brain. We have people in mental hospitals who hear voices all the time. Do you believe them
Wrong. Religious people condemn the sins they commit that nobody else knows about, they condemn the sins they don’t commit, and they never forgive others, the same sins they do commit. F.I.F.Y. lol
You have a valid point and have convinced me, I do not believe you either. The Twilight years have taken their dreadfully awful toll, silver threads among the gold etc etc.....
Asinine semantic games duly noted and ignored. Energy/matter is not temporal since you can neither create nor destroy it.
The Cyclic Model for the Universe makes the most sense given current scientific knowledge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclic_model https://physicsworld.com/a/cyclic-universe-could-explain-cosmological-constant/ https://phys.org/news/2007-01-big-endless-universe.html
Freedom. That's why I believe in God, religious freedom and my right to like here where I post, you have the right to not believe in God if you choose.
Because once I'm 'in' it's 'in' with a bunch of ****s who'd sooner see me extinct than listen to what I have to say.
In America's founding documents it is laid out and stated that the existence of one God from whom we all spring, signifies our right to be free, and is likewise the essence of our equality in freedom. Consequently, the existence or concept of God is the foundation of American freedom. The USA is truly Gods country
Britain is actually. From the Head of State being the Head of the Church, our rights, (which later became your rights).. Why not both be God's country?
Quite a statement of your imagination, and false to boot. No one comes back to life except in the imaginations of people like you who believe in fairy tales. If there were in fact an afterlife, I suspect it would greatly surprise you with the torment reserved for one who proclaims his own belief to be superior to any actual action taken by this alleged god of yours. The torment would be of you for spreading lies that you consider to be truths, without any evidence of their veracity at all.
Just for once, provide proof of you claim. A name, date and death records of this alleged individual. Or is it again only in your imagination?
'universal spirit or higher power' is far far far from a personal god overseeing mankind or even the universe for that matter.
Wiping out almost the whole human race along with most of the animal lives by means of downing due to having a bad hair day in my favor reason to view the Christian god with total contempt.
Some of us separate from GOD the notion of overseeing mankind. We believe in personal accountability and free will.
