    You don't boil Meat ... pal.Maybe a cottage ham.
    You braise it by seasoning and then searing each side { par fry 30 seconds }
then either roasting in a covered roasting pan or slowly
in a crock pot with fresh cut vegetables like carrots, celery or
small potatoes.Even a rummy with an empty stomach knows dat.
Who ever instructed you in ways of eating and fixing eats.
You're like a lumberjack in the kitchen. With an appetite like a
    sumo wrestler.

Not me. I fry it directly on the stove, no skillet. Then I set it in the drive way and drive over it about three times with my Hummer. Then I roll it up and grind it flat again with the heel of my dirty boots. Then I season it with fine herbs and re-fry it in lard. Season to taste. Mmmm!

I haven't seen or had a Cottage Ham since a teen.My Mom cooked
a cottage ham { comes in a thick plastic bag } about once a month.
They weren't ALL THAT.It was kinda cheap tasting but better than a
Country ham that has to have the outer surface washed of mold and
salt residue. Then cooked in a pan to make red eye gravy.
Those hams are also funky.yet Southerners swear by them.
Then most Southerners like their steak done well.Or with steak
sauce.A nice marbled thick steak doesn't need any steak sauce.
    I buy a Wal*mart Filet Mignon about once every 2 weeks.My Wal*Mart
superstore carries near prime steak { A high commercial cut }.
Not quite as good as my Big City Grocer who has a beautiful meat
display and always 3 Butchers ready to cut orders for the customer.
Prime Meat ends up going to the Finest Restaurants in a city first.
Like Lobster or Tuna or gulf shrimp.Cod or orange roughy.
Not all the Filet Mignons when put out at my Wal*mart are fit to
buy.I'd say about 1 in 4.About 3 of the 4 are not cut right or have the
    right marbelling.

This time of year go with Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Sure, they ride a little rough, but I grind a lotta ham in Springtime.

I wonder what that bacon strip tastes like.
Because it's probably soft and mushy being in
a glass with vodka and tomato juice.
I don't think Mushy bacon is what folk crave.
Nor would they crisp eggs over easy.Or Crisp wedding cake.

Yeah. If I were to order one, I'd ask the server to lay it across the top of the glass. I could take a bite and wash it down with the drink.

This is the first time in my life that I have missed St. Paddy's Day.

    I had to work.

I had to be sober to work.

I could not have any alcohol in my blood 12 hours before or during work.

    Today is my Wednesday.

Your Tuesday will be my Friday. On my Saturday I will buy some corned beef and cabbage and carrots and more potatoes and make my own St. Paddy's Day dinner.

I've been home sick for a few days and decided to check out "Game of Thrones" on HBO. I'd seen season 3 before giving up HBO 5 years ago, so it's been interesting binge watching seasons 4, 5 and, as of now, episode 9, season 6. It's good and some episodes were very, very good.

Just pick another day - St. Paddy will be fine with it. Especially if you skip the green beer.

Speaking of Poem and Poets I just heard this on
    the Twilight Zone episode titled - The Trade-Ins - { 1962 }
    written by Rod Serling.
An elderly couple shop for young replacement bodies since
Society has the ability to give back youth. The older gentleman
has constant pain and the loving wife wants to do whatever necessary to
help him with his pain. There is a place where for $5,ooo a person can
have a replacement body procedure which is said to be a simple
operation where the youthful body that is chosen { the place has
    a room where replacement bodies can be selected beforehand }
has the memory of the person choosing the operation adapted.
However the old gentleman and his wife did not realize the steep price.
They only brought $5,ooo which is the cost of one replacement body
not for the both of them.
The story has one of the most pleasant and untraditional Twilight
Zone endings.Nothing whatever morbid or spooky.
I felt as much going into the ending, knowing that Serling wrote the
screenplay and would not be crass enough to make it seem
creepy. He ended the story by reading a Poem by Kahil Gibran
    titled ... - The Prophet -.
Keeping in line with how the screenplay highlighted how much
the elderly couple were totally devoted and in love with each other
    unconditionally.

" Love gives not but itself
    and takes not from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed.
For love is sufficient unto Love. " -- Kahil Gibran

Love and Hate are mankinds 2 most powerful and dynamic
emotions.True Love is not easy but hard.It means
" Never having to say yer Sorry " - Love Story - { 1970 } by Erich Segal

Hate is a much easier emotion. It requires little to no conscience
and even littler means.Whatever object works.Like a nearby Hammer or
    a Democrat Talking pt.

no that is what the peasants are told to keep the illusion of civilisation for the kings and queens, in reality it is greed and fear.

everyone knows love is good and hate is bad, but only a few know greed is good and fear is bad.
