Exactly. The notion that Russia's interference was done without being directed and approved by Putin is ludicrous.

I'm sorry, which part of my post are you comparing to the flat earth, the illuminati, and 9/11 as a false flag event?

Pretty much the only part of the OP which has not been agreed upon by Trump's own intelligence appointees, the current congress, and the previous executive administration is that Putin personally ordered that the Russian meddling help Donald Trump. And Putin is the de facto head of the Russian intelligence operation.

The "little bitch hunt" and the "taunt Trump with his lack of intelligence" strategy are just my personal flair though. I do not actually think either apply. Well, no, that's not true because Trump is a little bitch.

All credibility was lost when this comes from the fake new CBS and the Washington Post. They both are less believable than a grocery store check out lane rag.

I am a William F. Buckley conservative. I started reading National Review in 1966. I've read more than a dozen books Bill wrote. In college I was a member of the youth group he founded, Young Americans for Freedom.I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Buckley in 1987. If you call yourself a Buckley conservative, you should be familiar with the Heritage foundation. The Heritage Foundation has held tributes for Buckley and another conservative icon, Ronald Reagan. The Heritage Foundation said that Trump's first year in office was more conservative than Reagan's. That hardly qualifies him for your "limousine liberal huckster' title.

You appear to be one of the elitist offended "NeverTrump"ers, who ignore the good he is doing because you disdain his personality. Take your wounded pride and peddle it to a third party. The Republican party is now Trumps and ,I as a conservativ,e am thrilled.

What specifically about the Flat Earth is a conspiracy theory? It's the whole damn thing because the presumption is wrong and the conspiracy is to prop up the presumption.

In other words, you have no argument against the premise in the OP, or the details of the report whatsoever.? Finger pointing at the msm doesn’t prove anything, but lack of a retort on the respondent.

So cheers indeed, for a response that doesn’t address the subject at hand whatsoever.

Should’ve gone into government if you wanted top secret communications on demand.

It will be available as it comes down the pipe.

All fingers crossed this report checks out. And more than likely, it will coming from the CIA. More signs of collusion...

Reason conservative posters be freaking out like a demon sprayed with holy water in this thread.

    OP

Apart from spamming Facebook, Twitter et al (and I can't imagine that would influence more than a handful of voters), I don't believe it was possible for Putin to sway the outcome of a presidential election; but supposing it were possible, and remembering that one of Trump's election pledges was to strike an accord with Russia with a view to improving relations (and that's the main reason I hoped he'd win), why would anyone be surprised if Putin did want him to win? What puzzles me is why the sudden U-turn?

The analogy is and was ****, you can drop it. No, be more specific. Do you dispute that Russia interfered? That Russia wanted Trump to win? That Trump engaged in conduct consistent with Russian interests? Do you dispute that Trump campaign officials sought to hide connections and meetings with Russians?

Or did you think it just a complete myth that there was any sort of agreement to work together between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives, like the level of collusion suspected for months by Trump's own DOJ about Paul Manafort?

So there is a bit of a chicken and the egg scenario that you pose. Did Russia want to help Trump because Trump was seen as more friendly to Russian interests or did Trump act more friendly toward Russian interests because he wanted their help? The answer is probably both, that the relationship was fluid and shifted over time.

Not really sure what is meant the "sudden turn around."

I meant the 'sudden U-turn' from his apparent pre-election promise to improve relations with Russia, to demonizing Russia after the alleged/suspected Douma incident.

Setting aside that many of the sanctions imposed against Russia were Congressionally mandated, I don't think anyone has accused Trump of being consistent from a policy standpoint. For example, he said that no one has been tough on Russia than him...two days after cancelling sanctions that his ambassador to the U.N. just announced. Hell, he threatened to rain down hellfire missiles 41 minutes before asking for more Russian coopeeation.

Dude...what? I am more than willing to engage with those outside my "echo chamber," which interestingly enough, happens to include for my side the FBI, the DNI, the NSA, and the CIA - pre and POST Trump appointee.

But I am not going to spend a long timr engaging with someone who doesn't want to make any sort of rational argument. I literally asked 7 questions trying to nail down what you believe and you respond with a, "yes."

There is nothing to argue. If this wishful thinking crap that turns out to be true what will happen will happen. No argument will have any effect on that
