Why David Hogg’s ‘Five Point Plan’ To End Gun Violence Betrays His Ignorance

You know what? Maybe the gun kills the fewest, but you have to start somewhere as opposed to doing nothing.

 

WTH does "betrays ignorance" mean?

 

You mean to say you are heading us to outlawing guns? If you do not outlaw guns, guns will still kill. But then again, autos also kill. Airplanes kill. A lot of things kill. A good friend of mine, a fellow female realtor lost her life to her own ladder. She fell and broke her neck and died on the spot.

 

Hogg is going the wrong path.

 

He is appealing to nonsense. The very idea that it was the gun that took the killer to the school, the gun that talked it over with the killer and persuaded him to pull the trigger that makes no sense at all.

Democrats refuse to nail the problem. They go after nonsense.

If they want my suggestion, I say protect schools. Protect all target rich environments. Make the killers take notice they are entering at great peril. Treat killers with the disrespect they deserve. Stop acting like they can't be stopped.

 

Airplanes may kill, auto's may kill; a lot of things kill but what most if not all of them have in common is that they are not designed to kill unlike guns which is their primary function.

So we should continue to allow the mentally insane and criminals to have unfettered access to guns? The schools may be safer, but what about outside the schools? Doesn't that matter in the big picture of things?

If the sole purpose of a gun is to kill humans, why are so few killed by guns? Far more are killed by the automobile. You don't blame the automobile, so why blame the gun?

 

You focus on the gun. Are you now focusing on mental health? Are you focused now on criminals? Hogg is focused on guns. And he is not focused on the mental health nor criminal aspect. The killer at his school was thought to be sane and he was not deemed a criminal. But law was warned about him. i would blame the law were I in Hoggs position. Many parents in that area do blame the law.

 

The airplane has killed millions of humans. Do you recall Hiroshima and Nagasaki to start off with? Vehicles have killed hundreds of thousands into the millions. Recall the Bradley vehicle and the M1-A1 tank?

How come you never say that about the murders by illegals, the victims of Islamic terrorism and the blacks in inner cities who murder other blacks.

 

If the aim is to prevent murders then I'd say grab the low hanging fruit - kick the illegals out of this country and do something to make them stay out, because they murder people. Don't let any more religious fanatics into this country because of their knack for killing people. Come down hard on inner city gangs. Those three things are responsible for far more murders than so called assault rifles.
