You might be right because I don't know exactly when they went in; I didn't even know they were in until this news of this withdrawal, so it could've been Obama. Either way though, they shouldn't have been there whoever sent them?

The problem is that ISIS untethered, will begin to strengthen again and become a threat to American soldiers in other areas, as we have seen in Africa. They are hardly defeated in Syria, will regroup and surface, and Trump who "knows more than the generals",
is militarily naive, has made a decision without discussing this with his military experts. This action will reinforce the notion in the world
that America has no credibility and can't be trusted.

    It's wiki, so.....
According to that article, 2014. I saw no legal justification to send troops to a sovereign country with a functioning government that didn't want us there.

It is precisely the US, Israel & the Saudis who created "the bad guys" in the first place(1) as terrorist proxies to overthrow Assad for Israel's benefit.
It was the Syrian government, Iran & the Russians who have consistently opposed ISIS (ISIL, Daesh etc) & the US & Israel have been its primary backers.(1), (2).

The only reason the US was in Syria was because the Israelis wanted the US to help overthrow Assad & to aid in Israeli regional hegemony.
Since the former is now an unrealistic goal, Trump is pulling out & the pampered Israelis are not very happy. In fact, disloyal "Israel Firster", John Bolton, was livid with Trump's very sensible decision to withdraw US forces from Syria.

    (1) "ISIS is a US-Israeli creation"
    http://freedom-articles.toolsforfreedom.com/top-10-proofs-isis-us-israeli-creation/

EXCERPT "…but this article is written for the large majority of people in the world who still have no idea who is really behind the rise of ISIS. No matter which name they go by – ISIS, ISIL, IS or Daesh – the group has been deliberately engineered by the US and Israel to achieve certain geopolitical goals. They are a religious, fundamentalist, Sunni terrorist organization created to terrorize and overthrow certain secular or Shiite Arab nations such as Syria and Iraq, but they are not just “Islamic”. They may be Muslims, and they may be advocating an Islamic State, but they are very much working towards the goals of Zionism."CONTINUED

    (2) "Israeli Defense Minister Confirms Israel Backing Of ISIS in Syria"
    https://geopolitics.co/2017/04/27/israeli-defense-minister-confirms-israel-backing-of-isis-in-syria/

EXCERPT "Washington created and supports ISIS, along with other anti-government terrorists in Syria and elsewhere. NATO, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other regional rogue states supply them with weapons and other material support.

So does Israel. In June 2015, the Times of Israel quoted former Israeli defense minister Moshe Ya’alon, saying

“(W)e’ve assisted (anti-government terrorist groups in Syria on) two conditions. That they don’t get too close to (Israel’s) border, and…don’t touch the Druze.”CONTINUED

Which is it.....You want US Troops in another Country that doesn't want US Troops there. Or US Troops should leave Syria?

Did you make that up all by yourself? It's clear you know absolutely nothing about Syria or what has gone on there.

Isis, which was largely a Sunni separatist group that grew out of the old Sadaam era secret police and army, is still there.

The Russians and the Syrians are still killing Syrian civilians wholesale. While Putin trolls Trump openly.

Meanwhile, here is one Isreali point of view:

"Trump’s decision to cede hegemony to Russia could be part of a nefarious payoff, of the kind being investigated by Robert Mueller "

Oh you mean the sites that Democrats create.

Democrats Ran Russian Bot ‘False Flag’ Operation In Alabama.....

Democratic operatives created thousands of Twitter accounts posing as Russian bots in order to boost Alabama Democratic Sen. Doug Jones in the October 2017 special election by linking his Republican opponent, Roy Moore, to Russian influence campaigns.

The operatives, who were funded by liberal billionaire Reid Hoffman independently of Jones’s campaign, created more than a thousand Russian-language accounts that followed Moore’s Twitter account overnight, The New York Times reported Wednesday evening.

Hoffman gave the operatives $100,000 for their project, which included creating fake conservative Facebook accounts to dissuade voters from supporting Moore, according to the Times.

“We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet,” the operatives recounted in an internal report obtained by the Times.

Media outlets — both in Alabama and nationally — fell for the ploy and amplified the false narrative in October 2017

Imagine that.....but them millennials don't know how interconnected the Demos and Russians have always been. Alger Hiss shows The Demos for what they have always been about.

The French are inside Syria. Let them deal with Assad, the Russians, the Iranians and what is left of Daesh inside Syria.

Perhaps a more accurate description is Trump is surrendering Syria to Russia and Assad. With the U.S. out of the way, Russia and Assad can wipe out the remaining ISIS forces anyway they want. Perhaps even bringing peace to Syria. Who knows? Time will tell.

I don't think that Dems are warmongers. Rather, they see this poorly thought-out decision as a threat to our soldiers in Iraq and elsewhere and giving the area to Putin and isis. Of course, Trump "knows more than the generals" and this is indicative of his inexperience and naivety. Our enemies are laughing at Trump's ineptitude and weakness in foreign affairs.
Now North Korea is making new demands, and why not? They have no fear. Ronald Reagan would turn over in his grave if he knew how
this guy operates. In Reagan's day, our enemies were afraid of him and rightfully so. He had a no-nonsense reputation abroad and
the bad guys would think twice before doing the dirty. This guy has no moral compass so anything goes. He doesn't care about lives
and exists for today and to make himself look good to his base only because he can't think about tomorrow.
This act is so egregious that maybe little Miller thought this up to deflect from Trump's problems at home. I know, I know--"There is no collusion", Cohen is a "rat" and Flynn has been snookered by the FBI, and that Judge must be an "Obama appointee".

Perhaps the question is, did we have our troops in Syria to defeat ISIS or to defeat Assad or to do both? Or perhaps it was all for show?

Did you see the Pictures of Raqqa? Daesh was uprooted from their Capital. Decimated. Remember the Leftness whining about the People of Raqqa?

Well we know the French and the Brits Officially declared the Syrian Rebels as the Official Government of Syria. Not telling BO the peep nor getting rid of Assad.

And hopefully we stop arming the ISIS rebels over there that Obama and McCain started. If that happens, then they stand no chance against Assad and Putin. Who'd have thunk that liberals are such war hawks...like they were during the entire 1900's.
