I'm all for legalizing pot as long as people who OD from any substance don't get public healthcare. I am for freedom, but that freedom comes with responsibility. Besides, every stoner competing with me or my family for jobs is at a disadvantage. Even if pot is legal, it doesn't mean that employers can't discriminate on the basis of drug usage.
Correct. Employers can set criteria based on drug use, as they can for booze use. Drugs found in your system can be grounds for termination. Think bus drivers, and airline pilots for example, but it could be any profession.
If Democrats are the ones dumbing down the electorate then why are red states the least educated? Some red states have close to the same educational attainment as third world nations. (And they all voted for trump)
Hmm, try again. Least-Educated State: California No. 1 in Percentage of Residents 25 and Older Who Never Finished 9th Grade; No. 50 in High School Graduates
Not a bad idea. We legalize pot. Let Mexico do the growing and harvesting and then tax it at the border. When the tax receipts reach a 100 billion then America can use the money to build the wall. Of course by then we will all be too stoned to care.
If you want total crap that will give you a headache instead of a high. Mexican weed is some of the worst there is, but it's cheap. Legalizing American highgrade brings eliminates the price advantage. Nobody would be buying that Mexican crap.
I suspect our current system does more harm to kids than legalizing drugs and controlling the distribution. You basically have to chose between the current distribution system run by criminals and a distribution system run by governments.
Oh, I'll bet they could produce very good stuff give a financial incentive. It is not rocket science.
Ya but add in the cost of transporting, bribes, armed guards when you can get the same or better at the local store for cheaper (becuase it wouldn't have as much overhead) and without ethical concerns with it's production? Mexican stuff is crap becuase it's the only way to have competitive prices with all the overhead involved. They couldn't survive the international market if their stuff was any good.
And you missed the part of nobody buying it when they can just go down the street to any cigarette retailer. Nobody is ever going to by cartel weed if it was legalized, not unless they were in Mexico on Spring Break or something.
The drugs supplied to children will still come from criminals unless you want to legalize pot and coke for babies
Since you didn’t provide a link I have no way of looking at the methodology https://www.foxbusiness.com/features/this-is-the-least-educated-state-in-america-study-finds 10 Least Educated States: 41 ) New Mexico 42 ) Oklahoma 43 ) Tennessee 44 ) Nevada 45 ) Kentucky 46 ) Alabama 47 ) Arkansas 48 ) Louisiana 49 ) West Virginia 50 ) Mississippi
If the dumbing down applies generally then 'least educated' is a relative term. An intelligent monkey is still a monkey.
In fact a high school education was considered quite good at one time but then the education was also more complete, difficult and more strict than it is now. Older textbooks and exams will bear this out.
Just the same here. It's sad to see the kids excited at higher-than-expected passes, little knowing it was because the exams have been made easier. The obvious agenda is to keep the population dumb, then A) they won't question and challenge official pronouncements or decisions, and B) nor have the nous or the education to take on 'authority' when they might need to. In other words, they're the unwitting victims of social engineering?
No I dont The 2nd Amendment gurantees gun ownership which to me includes ready access to guns There is no protection like that in the Bill of Rights for drugs
