Mexicans? I do not believe that. And I do not believe that "Muslims" are either. The fact that Arabs are probably the biggest abusers of women does not really indicate that "Muslims" are.

Wearing a MAGA Hat (in public) for any reason, is the equivalent of wearing a Swastika Armband to a Synagogue.

I don't think that MAGA Hats should be banned entirely.

People should be allowed to wear them in the privacy of their own homes, and under certain circumstances the MAGA Hats should be allowed at Private Halloween Parties.

Anybody wearing a MAGA Hat in public is asking for trouble.

Just like wearing a White Hood in Harlem.

What a silly thing to say.

There are smirks and then there are smirks. His is not one of "division, bigotry, racism, and all that is not good". His smirk is one of embarrassment and confusion. Someone shoved a camera in his face and he's only a teenager, for God's sake. If you look at him you can see he doesn't want to be in that position but he doesn't know what to do. I feel sorry for him.

I’ve lived in PR, So Cal, and now New Mexico, all three places are full of Latinos, and their men keep their women in their place, not all of them do, but certainly a lot. What we regard as abuse against women wouldn’t raise an eyebrow in Mexico.

I too have lived in New Mexico and I understand what you mean, but I would not say that Mexicans are the "biggest abusers of women". That's an exaggeration.

 

I feel sorry for the kid. Trump knows what he is doing so I don't need to feel sorry for him.

Purely anecdotal, but a few years ago my wife, then teen-aged son, and I had dinner at an El Torito - it's a Mexican restaurant, not sure how widespread it is outside of California. I wouldn't say it's the best but for where we live it's about as good as you're gonna get without a long travel. Anyway, I left to use the restroom about a minute before the waiter was about to hand me the bill. He stopped, seeing I wasn't there and started asking his fellow waiters en espanol what he could do, and they kept telling him to just put the check on the table but he kept saying no. Funny thing is, my very white-looking wife speaks Spanish fluently and understood every word they THOUGHT she couldn't understand! Apparently only the men pay the bills in his mind - funny thing was, it was my wife's turn to pay the dinner bill and she got out of it that week!

I brought it up with a friend of mine at school who teaches Spanish is is from Mexico and he said yeah, that didn't surprise him.
