A lack of education standards in this country gave us Trump?!! Remember a poorly educated populace is easy to control and manipulate too?!! We need to invest in our education system, so we never again have a person like Trump as POTUS?!!

Of course the president says he loves the ‘poorly educated’: authoritarian regimes benefit when citizens lack education

In late July, at a speech for veterans in Kansas City, Missouri, President Trump jabbed a finger at the back of the room, where members of the media were gathered, and cautioned his audience: “Don’t believe the crap you see from these people. They’re fake news.” He was upset, as he often is, because he felt he was being treated unfairly by the media. It was pretty standard red meat, the stuff we’re growing more and more used to from our commander-in-chief. The crowd loved it.

Just keep thinking the Trump supporters are uneducated rubes. Underestimating your opponents is the best way of defeating them! I swear the Clinton play book "How to Lose My Story" must have been mass produced and handed out at every organic produce store and hookah bar in the country.

Democrats are programmed to believe they are smart so they won't listen to reason and take everything their leaders say as 100% truth. They believe you can flip islands over, build bridges across oceans, tearing down walls prevents illegal immigration, and the planet only has 10 years to live.

    I'm your Huckleberry.

He only lost the non-white college graduates, and the middle class firmly voted for Trump.

    https://www.cnn.com/election/2016/results/exit-polls

In other words, it wasn't the education levels he lost, it was the racial politics of the left that hurt him.

The largest groups he won are evangelicals at 80% and white non-college men at 71%. Every other victory was marginal or a loss. So white men that are uneducated and people that believe in literal sky fairies put him into office. Yeh... that’s a great direction to take the country in.

I still find it hilarious that evangelicals voted for a gambling, adulturous, bankrupt, billionaire, liar that wants to not feed the poor and not clothe the naked — it’s like everything the Bible condemns.

And Clinton had a lock on the under $15k a year voter by double digits. But hey, at least they're "educated" huh?

As for the rest of what you said, I don't care what Democrats think.

Yeh we know, it’s easier to just exist in an echo chamber so you can wallow in your own agenda. I’m pretty moderate on most issues (fiscal conservative, pro-gun, pro-small government, anti-illegal immigration, socially liberal) so your declaration that facts are to be ignored because you disagree with ideology shows a ton about your lack of an argument.

    Cheers

Strange is it not that Jefferson the first president in the white house have one hell of a large library an now we have an idiot in the white house who his ghost writer have a hard time getting him to read the very book that have his name on it and had express the opinion that Trump has not read one book as an adult.

It's interesting to observe that two things happened in just the last thirty years:

    1. The public schools started producing graduates who were/are very poorly educated. It is staggering to see how many young people can't do elementary arithmetic in their heads, can't balance a checkbook, can't make change in sale without a cashregister/computer telling them how much, and can do no critical thinking at all. The only thing they seem to excel at is the ability to paw around on a 'smart' phone, for hours....

    2. American society -- especially the "Millennials" and much of the "Gen Z" crowd are so poorly equipped to support themselves in an actual job that they are always desperate for 'free stuff' welfare handouts from an increasingly Left-wing, socialistic government made up of the same conniving creeps that ruined the American education system -- LIBERAL DEMOCRATS!

The inevitable tragedy? A person doesn't have to be functionally educated or self-supporting in order to VOTE in this country!

And so when Trump-haters run out of anything factual to carp about, they resort to 'cosmetics'... no surprise.

I thought about going to look for some nauseating images of America-hating, hyperliberal Leftists to post as a retort, and then I thought, "Aw, screw it... it's not worth the trouble."

We have approached the point of being in a very real political civil war in this country... and I just hope that it doesn't go any further than that, but it might.

The photo at the bottom looks more like who you see at the Democratic National Convention.

A lot of out of shape liberals and t-shirts.

And here we go again. Anyone that didnt go to college is uneducated. Let's ignore the fact that colleges these days are mostly diploma mills that really dont teach anything. Let's also ignore the fact that most skilled tradesmen dont go to college. But according to the left, those skilled tradesmen are just stupid zombies that do as they are told.

OK, I've succumbed to the temptation to retaliate 'in-kind'...

What word or phrase would you propose is used in its place? The reports all use their terms uneducated or undereducated to specify this group which includes people that went to college but did not graduate, people that only graduated high school and people that did not graduate high school.

Would “non-collage graduates” make you feel better?

Yes, the media wishes to paint anyone that voted Trump to be racist morons. Its obvious you agree with them.

But yes. Non college graduates seems a much better description. Dont you think? Or do you believe anyone that didnt go to college to be stupid?

I believe uneducated simply means lacking in education — it doesn’t mean stupid or dumb, y’all have some serious issues with basic definitions. I don’t think people are stupid simply because of this; some pursued careers or trades immediately after high school, some became parents.

It is interesting that such a large percentage of the (not dumb so I don’t offend the snowflakes but just didn’t achieve a degree in higher education because well reasons) crowd voted disproportionately trump and was one of only two groups to do so over 70%. It’s even a more stark divide when you use post-graduate degrees as the metric.

I never once mentioned racism in my posts so I’m not sure where you pulled that lie out of.

He tailored his message to the people impacted the most by his opponents positions. What should be interesting is that the DNC has forgotten a large portion of their historical base. The blue collar worker in their march to the left. Frankly the Dems begged to lose the last election. What should be interesting is if they will continue the trend or swing back to the middle where a majority of America is.

America is actually moving left on most issues - not extreme left like some are proposing however. I do agree with you that Democrats forced the loss they suffered in 2016 by refusing to primary Sanders and going with a woman that many people saw at best as a typical political ruling elite and at worst a criminal.

That said, I don’t think trump is able to tailor anything, much less speeches. You have heard him talk, yes?

Dont ever underestimate Trump! He has made his entire career out of people underestimating him. I guarantee every person that ran against him their handlers said "dont worry about Trump he is a joke." Every one of those people gave their candidate horrible advise.

trump made his career because of contacts and financing from Elizabeth Trump and Son. He could have taken his inheritance and simply invested it in index funds and been substantially wealthier than today. Real pioneers have seen their value rise 2,000% - over 7,000% — trumps has risen a paltry 300% compared to the S&P 500 at 1,336%.

People should not underestimate him however, he’s a special kind of con man. Like he has stated, he loves the “poorly educated” and is the “king of debt” — and apparently bankruptcy.

More code words for calling people stupid, just because they didnt vote for you annointed one. Never mind the fact that most of those people lacking education come from the rust belt states that voted Trump because of this very rhetoric.

Way to touch on a single point in the post sparky.

Assumptions aside — I didn’t vote for Clinton, I understand that’s a usually fallback when your cannot engage with the points as presented — I am aware where the bulk of the pro-trump population lives, it’s called the rust belt for a reason: an uneducated aging population that clings to man made fairytales and promises by a liar that he will fix their lives.
