President Trump and his tax returns.

Discussion in 'Opinion POLLS' started by Moriah, Apr 7, 2019.

?

Show the returns?

  1. It should be mandatory for Trump to show his tax returns.

  2. It should be voluntary for Trump to show his tax returns.

  3. I don't care one way or the other.

Results are only viewable after voting.

What's hilarious is that they think that Barr's coverup letter, within which even HE is forced to admit "does not exonerate him", is the end of it, saves him from SDNY, the theft of/improper use of inaugural committe funds, campaign finance, possible insurance fraud. This guy is corrupt and inept from every angle and his fans are either in denial, or secretly stoked about it.

The Democrats will have to COLLOSSALY blow it, for him to be re-elected. It's certainly possible (Look at the track record? While "Chuck and Nancy" have hit some long balls against Trump, can you really congratulate two "legally" corrupt buffons BARELY better than Trump, for that?) , but if by some fluke he was, there's about a 0% chance he could get through term 2. His days would be VERY numbered.

It's surreal to see how far the GOP has DESTROYED itself pandering to his base for this? A figurehead that's more trouble than he's worth and a Stephen Miller presidency? They play at false bravado, but Mueller is just hte first domino, and we still have not seen the report, not even a complete SENTENCE, from it.

Same question for you to avoid. Do you think you'll find something in either the tax return or Muellers report that everyone else has missed?

Come on... admit you think you're smarter than everyone at the DOJ/IRS/FBI

NOTHING OF THE SORT. EVEN Barr's letter admits there is damaging info. I don't expect to see his returns, nor do I have any right, congress however does. I'd defer to their oversight duty experise there.

It's INREDIBLE naivete to believe that there is nothing to any of the MANY inestigations, especiall y in light of the Tax Schemes reveled by NY State prosecutors.

Whats even more INREDIBLE is the lefts' desperation to find dirt on this president... even after being told repeatedly there is nothing there.

    Its borderline psychotic.

What do I hope is in his returns?

I hope that his business connections to foreign banks does not create potential security issues, or conflicts of interest.

And again you have to resort to LYING with your meme. The investigation netted a PROFIT after getting back a lot of what Manafort STOLE. Would you prefer he been able to pocket it, and be pardoned? Of COURSE!

Let's try a little thought experiment:

How many pages comprise Trump's tax return?

How well do Americans understand every tax rule?

How easy would it be to misrepresent an incredibly complex tax return?

Let's not and deal with reality instead?

Nobody in the public, has any right or should see his returns. Congressional oversight does have that right and the expertise to analyze what they find. Your "thought experiment" is therefore irrelavant.

Other than for making misrepresentations, what purpose would Congress have for receiving Trump's tax filings?

Are they accusing the IRS of incompetence; only with regards to Trump?

Other than harpooning the Clinton campaign, what was the point of Benghazi investigations?

When did you stop beating your wife?

I think you might read a paper or try google?

Perhaps google constitutional clause for congressional oversight?

Do you think, given the generational tax fraud, revealed by NY state, and valuation related financial fraud crimes under investigation, that it's unreasonable to assume there may be discrepencies with the returns and the realities? Is that an unreasonable assumption, given these other facts, and if so, how would you figure?

Would you even care if it came out, he has, since the election, committed tax fraud? (I suspect, you'd admire him even more, if only privately.)

    1) The cost you attach to the investigation is not the net cost. There was no net cost to the investigation. It retrieved more funds than it spent. 2) Whether or not any of the chargers involve collusion is a matter of semantics. I'm pretty sure the word "collusion" never even appeared in Mueller's appointment letter. Several of the charges did involve criminal conspiracy.

Not only that, but 26 USC section 6103 renders mental masturbation over how thick and complicated the returns are irrelevant.

Then you are claiming that the IRS is incompetent, solely with Trump.

    Good luck with that.

Right, the investigation into Trump's collusion with Russia found no collusion.

    FB_IMG_1553601249636.jpg

Now that we agree on that point, are you hoping for something else?

You can easily find my posts on the subject. My position has always been that there was definitely an attempt at collusion, but I withhold judgement about whether or not the attempt was successful until after I read the Mueller report.

"Would you like dirt on Hillary?"

"If it's as you say, I would love it"

Standing alone, it that communicated to the Russians that Team Trump was interested in receiving Russian assistance. That could very well have been a green light, and perhaps the Trump Campaign allowed itself to be used by the Russians.

When this meeting was proposed, why didn't Don Jr. or Manafort, etc. go the FBI?

Yep, that's what I mean by the fact that collusion was at the very least attempted. The Trump campaign had advance knowledge of Russian activities and was offered the chance to participate, and they pursued that chance. They should have gone to the FBI. Now, whether Russia actually delivered the goods, whether the plan came to completion, that's another story. I have no idea. It is perfectly possible that Russia was drawing out their interest just to keep it as blackmail material and that they never actually worked closely with the campaign.

The DOJ didn't miss anything about attempted collusion. The information was public and still is. We know for a fact that they tried. An eyeroll emoji won't make reality go away.

Reality? Funny word coming from someone who refuses to accept it even when it's done and over.

George Washington didn't show his tax returns. Because tax returns weren't even supposed to be a thing.
