That is not what this is. This is garbage, intended to exaggerate an issue in order to incite anger. It feeds confirmation bias, and makes its audience more closed-minded and polarized.

 

Well, if people could moderate their own discussions to fall within the region of "fairly reasonable," I would have no such desire. Since that is not the case, I would prefer to have a place where I can have discussions with reasonable people about intelligent issues.

Go to 51:45 of the video. They are discussing Amendment 0291, the Amendment proposed by Rep. Boyd. to exclude people from the bill based on race.

Stupid optics on this bill - but I can understand her frustration. She knows that the only people who will ever be arrested for disregarding the heartbeat law are the poor, the majority of which will be black. Takes us back to the original Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade where justices pointed out that abortion laws were disproportionally targeting the poor and that they could not be applied in any equitable manner. Rich people will just head to another state or country for a "vacation" and the only ones who will ever go to jail will be the poor.

 

So who is going to make that call? I find almost everything leftist unreasonably, sensationalized and absolutely ridiculous! I'm thinking since you're still pretty new here and clearly not pleased with the format and the posts here maybe it would make more sense for you to find a different site more aligned with what you are looking for.. It would make better sense and far less intrusive then demanding all these PF Veterans posters that enjoy the site as is change their posting styles to suit some new user that's unhappy with what he or she has found here!

What is the actual intent here? To make only one racial group have an exclusion to the law? Why? I don't think I can remember a more racist intent being expressed in the public discourse especially at a state house.
