Once upon a time a U.S. citizen promoting such hatred for the United States of America would be in trouble; but then again that was before flag burners and also Beer Summit inventors made hating the United States of America -- while loving its -- enemies . . . chic.

At least he's no longer pretending, and is now openly cheering for an enemy of this nation. That's something at least. I love it when these leftists finally stop pretending and simply publicly state who and what they really are -- and really have been from the very get-go -- and how they REALLY feel about this nation. It's refreshing honesty on their part.

Let them die the death they deserve.
But that won't happen as the government loves to spend beyond its ability and build Empire around the globe. The FED and the finance banks are gov's key to maintaining power and building personal fortunes for its members and the MIC

Yes, exactly. Because the free trade will only go on as long as there are big chronic trade deficits, and those big chronic trade deficits can't go on forever, so the whole current system is unsustainable.

Maybe Trump should initiate just a mini trade war to help the whole system gradually start to unwind.
    Isn't that what is happening?

I agree with the Trade war and hope Trump is successful, I think it's good he is getting republicans to support it too, let's wish him well in pulling it off

I also agree with him banning China's 5g due to national security concerns, lets hope he does the same to foreign outsourcing of American data - those that control the information, have the power, letting India control all our data is a national security concern

ROFL, Both are the party of the rich. The differences are which businesses they work for, the left is big tech and the right is of course interested in energy.. Left wing politics tend more toward globalism and trade, while the right is concerned with nationalism and production at least in today's environment. The kicker looking at politics this way is that Trump is right, we cannot maintain poor trade deals and the idea that one of the most self-sufficient countries in the world in terms of resources would import so much more than we export is just silly and a recipe for a slow economic decline. China's economic strength is in the export business, they are the kings of production in today's world, but if you take away their customer base, suddenly they collapse and we have all the tools and allies we need to barely miss a beat. In short, Trump is betting on a hand that has all the aces. China cutting off trade would be a long term win for this administration and they know it, Production would have to come back here because this is where the consumer base is and China can't let that happen. The outcome that is best for China is to reach a compromise that doesn't favor the US any more than it must, but that would be a lot better than the current situation for us.

to some extent yes, but the right is the ones always demanding more tax cuts for the rich

Bush even tried to outsource port security.... so not sure just the left that favors globalism, both parties need to stop

"Administration Outsources Operations Of Six U.S. Ports To The United Arab Emirates"

    https://thinkprogress.org/administr...orts-to-the-united-arab-emirates-53c9cfefca2/

"The Bush administration has outsourced the operation of six of the nation’s largest ports to a company owned by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country with troubling ties to international terrorism. The $6.8 billion sale would mean that the state-controlled Dubai Ports World would control “the ports of New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia.”"

"Bush Administration Won't Impede Offshore Outsourcing"

    https://itreports.computerworld.com...ration-won-t-impede-offshore-outsourcing.html

"If it chose to do so, the White House could create obstacles for U.S. companies that want to move work overseas. It could use its power over regulated industries, such as financial services, to discourage sending work offshore by raising national security concerns. It could also set "buy American" standards for government purchases of IT products or back legislation in Congress to restrict visas such as the L-1, which multinational companies use to facilitate offshore development."

And you can all fact check this just as soon as you pay NYTimes $1 for a week :)

What you fail to add is Bush wanted more oversite on loans and tighter qualification for high risk loans! Barney and Dood killed that idea real quick!

fox news reported on it too

"Bush Ties Policy to Record Home Ownership" March 26, 2004

    https://www.foxnews.com/story/bush-ties-policy-to-record-home-ownership

"Late last year, Bush signed the American Dream Down Payment Act (search) to help families that can afford monthly mortgage payments but not the down payment or closing costs associated with buying a house. The legislation authorizes $200 million a year in down payment assistance to at least 40,000 low-income families."

Bush was indeed a globalist, and I thought it was dumb then and is no better now. You can't honestly think that the tax cuts haven't had an influence in the betterment of the working class, many companies had very tight books, maybe not the walmarts and exxons of the world, but certainly the more moderate and smaller businesses. Ive worked for and seen the numbers of a medium sized company that quite simply couldn't afford to lower pricing or give raises and continually slashed hours and full time employment to maintain a modest profit (most noticeably when obamacare took effect.) The big companies actually like the higher tax rates, not because they are charitable or patriotic, but because they can afford it and their competitors and start ups cannot.

I woudl of supporter a bigger permanent tax cut for small businesses and working class, when people have more to spend, businesses benefit (big and small)

from what I have seen, corporations are still outsourcing American jobs overseas in record numbers

Ya so, "GOOD ON HIM" the problem was lax oversight that allowed corrupt loan agents to push loans through for people that couldn't possible make the payment, that bullshit was on freddie and frannie and Frank&Dood! Without the oversight Bush wanted and dems defeated the good deal turned in to a mega blunder... And a treasure for corrupt loan agents :)
