Fair enough. Given the rate of recidivism, Im just surprised you would be okay violent people having guns. Your party tends to go the other direction.
Who would notice if Kentucky disappeared? Ah, but take California out of the union, and you would have calamity. No other state comes even close to matching our economic and political power.
Correct. It now has the highest poverty rate in the country. But it has billionaires, too. That is the Democratic Party in 2019: the bottom 40% and the top 10%. Republicans own the 40% to 90% demographic.
I realize that and respect your opinion. You are not the average Democrat. You would put guns in the hands of those known for violence while your party would take them from non-violent citizens. Odd.
I support the 2nd amendment although with some more regulation. That regulation doesn’t include denying people their rights.
Cool. We will just have to disagree. The right to travel shouldn't mean that convicted sex offenders get to hang out in the playground. It is refreshing to see support for the second amendment from the left!
Since almost everyone that was born in the 50s and 60s likely committed a felony using drugs yet was never caught, what is the problem? I think having felons on juries gives the jury an important viewpoint.
I hate to say it because it grates on me, but I support restoration of all rights to those who have done their time. All rights. That said, people who rape or commit murder or are habitual criminals shouldn't be let out of the cage to begin with.
Pot smoking laws have to be changed regarding the felony thing and make it retroactive. You have a valid point.
well, it is a right to be judged by a jury of your peers... what's a crim to do? besides who else is left in cali to serve... as an aside, cali should use the homeless on juries, what better way to give them a buck & some shelter, with any luck it'll be a major case that takes 'em off the streets for a while
I think if they were convicted over cannabis crimes their records should be expunged and all rights reinstated..
I can't give that a simple answer. If our justice system worked correctly and applied valid punishments I'd have to say yes, they should. When they're giving murderers one or two years in jail though......
