For me, a person loses all credibility when they start pushing the false narratives of "fine people" and/or "I could shoot someone on 5th avenue". They've both been debunked so many times I've lost track. It tells me the person is either:
a) ignorant of the full statements/context (in which case they aren't worthy of engaging in a political discussion)
b) pushing a narrative they know is false in the hopes of deceiving the less-informed, or
c) pushing a narrative they know is false as a lame attempt to bait the more educated into correcting them for the umpteenth time.

Pushing a KNOWN and REPEATEDLY DEBUNKED false narrative = TOTAL FAIL, no exceptions.
