    I doubt they are so incompetent as von der Leyen. She is a pure shame. The soldiers openly revolt against her and she gets mobbed. Its laughable.

    Yeah right, how about asking the people in those countries who they hate and then taking their word for it. Of course if we did that, then we would have to explain to the American people why we're aiding and arming insurrections- not to mention terrorists?

    It doesn't make a difference, current levels of funding wouldn't allow the Germans to field an air force capable of fighting the Americans.

    Germany has one of the highest defense funds worldwide. We are in the top 8. Its just totally wasted.

    It's nowhere near where it would need to be, Sobo. Your air force in particular has extremely low funding.

    You would probably need something like 200% of Russian spending, since you don't have the strategic depth Russia has.

    That would give you a shot, of course more factors would need to be taken into account.

    So... multiply spending by four, and you look like a real contender in a decade.

    Not if we're talking about standing up to the Americans, no. Your missile system and air force would need a massive amount of work and resources poured into them to even be a contender.

    As it stands, I don't think you guys could even keep the Turks out of the Balkans. The Russians and especially Americans are simply in a different league of martial strength.

    Now, if you're able to convince, say, the French and Benelux to pool resources with you in some kind of real military alliance, you'd only to need double your spending as a single nation.

    But it gets worse. The idea of a German navy capable of challenging the American navy is absolutely preposterous. This matters, because Germany is dependent on imported natural resources that the Americans could cut off or, in the case of resources out of Russia, strangle to nearly nothing with campaigns in Central Europe, the Baltic, and the Black Sea.

    You have left yourselves at the mercy of a monster. For as long as no nation or coalition of nations is capable of challenging American naval hegemony we're going to have free reign... or maybe the Mexicans can take us down here on our shared island, but I don't see it happening.

    I dont see it that way.

    For a start, we developed cavitation torpedos that reach super sonic speeds. One shot and your carrier is on the sea floor.

    But i dont see this as necessary. As it looks like you die from within. Im ok with that. I doubt that Lousiana or Kansas will wage war against us.

    Because the ship was burning, right infront their coast. They had coast guard and aircrafts nearby. The mine had to be removed. If it went up, the ship could have broken apart. It was only luck, that no oil spill occured.
