Trump may have really broken the law this time

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...leblower-scandal-latest-explained-how-serious

It is illegal for a candidate to accept or solicit foreign aid or assistance dealing with a campaign.

It appears that Trump withheld desperately needed foreign aid to Ukraine, unless they agree to investigate and provide Trump with dirt on Joe Biden.

Trump immediately released the aid, as soon as the whistleblower story broke.

Trump even admitted in a press conference today that "he wanted Ukraine to investigate corruption and if they didn't, they shouldn't get our money"

Mind you, Biden and his son were already cleared of any wrongdoing dealing with the energy company his son worked for.

This, if we have the details understood, is a major campaign violation.

Hundreds of billions of dollars of American taxpayer aid to Ukraine, to help them fend off further Russian and Russian-ally invasion, is NOT something you play with like a toy to get election help. Its illegal, its immoral, its corrupt.

    This...may actually bring him down.

....and btw, Trump now refuses to release any of info from the whistleblower and refuses to allow him to testify before Congress, which violates Federal law.

Fake Don and his goons are hysterically lashing out and, in a fit of pure, uncut Trumpery, blaming everyone but Fake Don.

Even his consiglieri can't get the story straight:

...“Did the President threaten to cut off aid to the Ukraine?” Bartiromo asked Giuliani Monday morning.

    .......
    Screen Shot 2019-09-23 at 4.43.15 PM.png
“No, that was a false story,” Giuliani replied.

    “One hundred percent?” Bartiromo pressed.

    ............... Screen Shot 2019-09-23 at 4.43.15 PM.png
    “Well I can’t tell you it’s 100 percent,
....... I don’t have our version!” Giuliani said.

You have walked into another of Trumps masterful traps. This time it's Biden caught in the web. Dream on Ronnie.

He sure may have, so what’s new. However, my question is what do you think of the tape of Biden telling Haas about how he told Porchenko he wasn’t getting a billion dollars in loan guarantees unless he fired the prosecutor that happened to be investigating his son? That seems pretty troublesome too. What say you?

I am thinking the "whistleblower" (if there is one) is saying "oh crap".

I agree that Trump is a sociopath. That’s a given. However what do you think about the tape of Biden admitting that he threatened to withhold a billion in loan guarantees unless the prosecutor who was investigating his son was fired?

Guiliani is a nit wit blabbermouth that’s for certain. However I would like to ask all of my fellow anti Trumpers on this forum what they think about the tape of Biden bragging to CFR President Richard Haas about threatening Porchenko to withhold a billion in loan guarantees unless he fired the prosecutor that was investigating his son. What do you think Natty?

I believe the funds were released before the whistleblower story broke due to pressure from Congress..

Amid Bipartisan Outcry, White House Agrees to Release Ukraine Aid

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/12/us/politics/ukraine-aid-white-house.html

However, Dems had already begun suspecting the funds had been withheld in order for President Jackass to gain leverage over the prez of Ukraine.

    https://twitter.com/RepAdamSchiff/status/1166867471862829056?s=20

So.........maybe the funds were released because Don knew the whistleblower had filed a complaint..........but the story wasn't public yet.

I have no problem with BOTH Trump and Biden facing charges if they have broken the law. But one act does not forgive the other.

Who is in the Oval Office?
Who has deflected every one of the dozens of manufactured crisis the alt-lefties have come up with?
I wish you luck with your continued struggle with the election results of 2016.

Do you have a problem with what Biden admittedly did in March of 2016 by saying that he would withhold a billion in loan guarantees unless Porchenko fired the prosecutor who was investigating his son?

Your question lacks context and thus is extremely misleading.

"The United States and other Western nations had for months called for the ousting of Mr. Shokin, who was widely criticized for turning a blind eye to corrupt practices and for defending the interests of a venal and entrenched elite. He was one of several political figures in Kiev whom reformers and Western diplomats saw as a worrying indicator of a return to past corrupt practices, two years after a revolution that was supposed to put a stop to self-dealing by those in power.

As the problems festered, Kiev drew increasingly sharp criticism from Western diplomats and leaders. In a visit in December, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. said corruption was eating Ukraine “like a cancer.” Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, which props up Ukraine financially, said last month that progress was so slow in fighting corruption that “it’s hard to see how the I.M.F.-supported program can continue.”
    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/30/...-balance-as-ukraine-ousts-top-prosecutor.html

IOW, the US (Biden being the US front man on the issue) was part of a group of western nations who were calling for Shokin to be dismissed. Trumpist's make it sound as though Biden was acting unilaterally.

"Trump has claimed that Biden in 2016 pressured the Ukrainian government to fire Viktor Shokin, the top Ukrainian prosecutor, because he was investigating a Ukrainian gas producer, Burisma Holdings, that had added Biden’s son Hunter to its board. But it turns out that the investigation had already been shelved when Biden acted and may have even involved a side company, not Burisma. The Ukrainian prosecutor was regarded as a failure, and “Joe Biden’s efforts to oust Shokin were universally praised,” said Anders Aslund, a Swedish economist heavily involved in Eastern European market reforms.

Moreover, Yuri Lutsenko, a former Ukrainian prosecutor general who succeeded the fired prosecutor, told Bloomberg News that there was no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe or Hunter Biden."

Thank you. That’s a good detailed answer. I am sure that Biden will be shown the tape of him and Haas and have to explain the actions he detailed within. It seems that the hard core Trumpers on our forum along with nit wit loudmouth Guiliani are waving that tape around as an excuse for what the whistle blower revealed to the IG.

Lee Atwater’s reply makes sense and was quite detailed. I am sure that Biden will be grilled about this repeatedly in the run up to the first primary. We’ll all find out if the production of that tape and the simple explaination (that Biden was bribing Porchenko to get his crooked kid off the hook) given by the Hannitized Ditto Heads is true or just another distortion or outright lie as usual. If their version is true, I think Biden should be dumped and disqualified and or prosecuted. We will see how it shakes out. If as Hannity and Trump say Biden is obviously guilty of bribery, Trump’s DOJ will prosecute. If not, we will have to assume that this is just another in the heap of steaming piles of right wing crap.

So the US government goes to a foreign ally to investigate a US political figure.

Then Trump asks Ukraine to look into Biden corruption.

How many foreign governments were involved in Trump surveillance again?

How many times were we told "It's ok, the UK and those other countries were allies."

It’s not a crime to want a foreign country that we have been sending aid to, to investigate corruption and clean house.
