If you are referring to the current proceedings in the HOR, then your last two sentences are incorrect. The impeachment inquiry in the House of Representatives is not, I repeat once again, is NOT a jury trial. It is far more like a grand jury gathering evidence in order to decide whether to indict or not. When the grand jury indicted John Gotti (yet another mob boss, nöööö), they did not ask for his participation in examining his own crimes. The trial happens in the Senate and there, the accused will have the opportunity to defend him-or-herself. Nancy Pelosi has nothing to do with how the US Senate would conduct a trial, so your reference to her in your last sentence is a non-sequitor argument.

This is the way is works, clearly outlined in the US Constitition. The ignorance on display by many people all over the place concerning an issue that is so easy to read about is --- astounding.

Now, should it be that you are simply angry because you don't like how the House of Representatives is doing things, I will remind that the current HOR adopted the exact rules of the House before it, which was a GOP-majority House. Honestly, were I Trump's attorney, I would take his Smartphone away from him and tell him to completely shut his mouth until this is all over, because literally every time he opens his mouth, he is only making it worse for himself and often, quite literally, in real time, he is adding yet another potential article of impeachment to the document when it is done, or strengthens a point that is already being made against him. This will not happen. McConnell cannot delay a Senate trial. The Chief Justice of the SCOTUS takes over the proceedings and as the, according to the Constitution, designated chairman over the proceedings, has de facto the say as to when the trial begins. Roberts is a pretty straight shooter. Once the impeachment vote goes through, I suspect that the trial will begin shortly thereafter. Wait and see.
