'Obvious you missed the point, CNN, NYT and the rest of the MSM have to earn my respect of treating their opinions and news reporting as being fact by not reporting fake news and by not being political operatives.
If you take today's millennial generation out of the equation, most 32 year olds are no longer party animals, are paying taxes, are holding down a real full time job, are paying taxes, are living in their first home they have bought, are paying taxes, are married with children, are paying taxes, are to old to be drafted and are paying taxes. Every political forum at one time or another have had a thread asking what the minimum age should be to be able to vote ? In my opinion I would go with 24, 25 or 26 years of age.
That all depended on the REMF's who handles the mail for those serving and the U.S. Snail Mail Service. FYI: During the 1968 presidential election 90% of the Marines who were in Vietnam and were eligible to vote cast an absentee ballot. 90% voter participation is an extremely high participation number. But almost 1/2 of the Marines who were in-country in Vietnam were not old enough to vote. So Chris you haven't mentioned what you think should be the minimum age to vote. There are many progressives in California who demand that non citizens be able to vote including illegal aliens. Some progressives in California want to lower the voting age to 16 and I have even heard a few saying 12 years of age.
It's hard to say. They should at least have finished high school, so I would say that 16 is just stupid.
Requiring voters to have finished high school would really hurt the Democratic party especially in California's Hispanic immigrant communities. 1/2 of Los Angeles County population of working age adults are either illiterate or are functional illiterates and they vote.
Does anyone know if Bernie is still in the race? I haven’t heard from his campaign for quite a while now.
