It's a lower bill, because YOU can't pay for it, so the taxpayers will.

It's largely broken because the government has spent the last forty years breaking it.

No, that's a big fat lie. Get over it. I can pay whatever bill I ever have. Can you?

No I can't, but if you can, more power to you. Just stay in good health.

Not everyone has a million dollars in reserve. That's why most people have insurance. Glad to know you don't need it because you can pay your own way.

Please look up boutique medicine rather than prate on in such abysmal ignorance. Your first clue is that medical billing is now a college degree specialty. That is almost entirely because of government rules and regulations. The last private sector doctor I went to I'd known for years. He was about to retire. I asked Him why? He wasn't that old. He said, "I got into this business to help sick people. Now for every hour 15 minutes I spend with a patient I spend 30 minutes to an hour filling out paper work. He also told me that the biggest single cost in his office was medical billing.

Well, a healthy diet and proper exercise has proven a lower risk with many cancers and old is a relative word. I remember sitting at my classroom desk in the second grade saying to myself, "I'm going to be 39 in the year 2000, that's old." Well it's 19 years later and I can still run two miles sub 15. That's better than 80% of high school age kids.

What about people who cannot afford the 10k deductible or the 15k out of pocket? What happens to these people? Many people who are low wage earners cannot afford a $50 doctor visit.

Its broken because it is a mix of both Gov't and Kleptocracy.. something I refer to as an Oligopoly-Bureaucracy Fusion Monster.

You are leaving out the Oligopoly Part. Repeating the phrase "Gov't did it" - does not well describe this problem.

It is not like all these other healthcare systems are not bureaucratic nightmares - same as ours. So what is different ?

Theirs doesn't have the Corporate Oligopoly Kleptocracy that we do.

That's great that you've kept in such great shape but what about people who have genetic disorders or have developed cancers such as lymphomas, prostate, breast and other related cancers? I know of a person who ran 10 miles a day and suddenly was diagnosed with lung cancer who never smoked a day in his life.

I've been saying that about the airline industry for years. You buy a base price ticket then when you get to the airport you step on a scale with your luggage and pay the weight premium. I remember reading an article years back that stated overweight passengers are the reason the airlines are spending an extra $750 million per year in added fuel costs.

$3,900/yr is expensive. American healthcare is expensive because the GOP blocks efforts to reduce costs.

You're speaking of a very very small percentage. Your statement of
is proof. I bet you know hundreds of people and only one of them contracted cancer mysteriously. Although he probably ran his 10 miles everyday next to a roadway and breathed in all that carbon monoxide from the vehicles exhaust and the asbestos from the vehicles brake dust.

Wooh, Gary, starting off with an insult right off the bat! Nice.;););)

First off, concierge medical doesn't cover hospitalization, which is what I am discussing with Robert. That's not to say that some hospital networks haven't gotten together and lined up with doctors to create their own health plans, but premiums are still comparable with traditional insurance, although from what I've seen they have their own issues too.

However, if you really think this is the panacea to our healthcare issues, what the hell is stopping you from sharing this with your Republican representatives, since after some 50 odd times of attempting to repeal Obamacare they have yet to come up with a better alternative.

Don't worry, I won't report you for being so insulting from the get go, unlike some of your other snowflake poster buddies.;)

Not my fault you don't understand the way medical billing works.

    Adios!

You cannot get thru to people, especially those under 45, who are oblivious to the genetic lottery.

I'm suspicious of Universal Healthcare and Medicare for all, because I don't trust Democrats that it's going to be a cost savings for American citizens. I'd be willing to listen and consider the facts if Democrats are willing to secure the Mexican border and kick out of the United States all illegal Aliens that are Parasites on our Health care system currently and assure me that the ONLY! people on Universal Healthcare are American Taxpaying Citizens and not anyone who sticks a Toe Nail across the border and claims asylum. Oh! and stop ************ us and admit that Middle class taxes are going to increase to pay for this.

Oh hell, don't get me started on that! Never fails, I sit down and next thing you know, a beached whale shoehorns their way into the seat next to me. Then I'm a human pretzel for the rest of the flight.

I fly international often. Some airlines have strict carry-on weight limits. So here I am scaling my bag to a 1/4 pound underweight and some fat bastard that outweighs me by over 100 pounds gets the same price ticket. And then squashes me!

$15k is a heck of a lot better than $500k for cancer treatment.

How is this different on a national level? You don't want a border wall, most of the democrats would rather not have a border at all, and the rich can leave a country just as easily as they can leave a state.

In other words, sorry but no. You'll just have to try this at a state level.

Let us know how it goes!

One thing I have learned from many years of flying is that nobody pays the same price for a ticket. That fat bastard could have easily paid half what you did!
