Graham has already stated his intention to not impeach Trump. He obviously doesn't care about evidence because his decision is already made.
The outcome is uncertain in that if Trump barges in and starts eating babies alive they'll probably secure conviction. But here in the real world, you need just under half od the GOP Senate to flip, in an environment where 92% of GOP voters don't support impeachment. I think it will be similar to the Kavanaugh appointment. A few on each side cross sides, but the vast majority vote along party lines.
Graham has seen the transcript which is exonerating Trump beyond a shadow of a doubt, he has seen the illegitimacy of the Schitt's circus denying minority rights and due process, he has seen hostile testimonies and leaks whining about policy disagreements and not offering even a semblance of high crimes and misdemeanors... It's rich though how the mob that demanded impeachment before Trump was even sworn in has the gall to claim that someone else "doesn't care about evidence". The lack of self-awareness is startling.
If the Dems actually had proof don't you think that by now the impeachment process would be in full swing, rather than still setting up the resolution to start an inquiry and taking testimonies? “Surrounded by enemies and spies catching and perverting every word that falls from my lips or flows from my pen, and inventing where facts fail them.” Thomas Jefferson in a letter to his daughter Martha.
Don't you think an admission by the White House and also an admission by the president would be considered proof? So they wanted more supportive testimony to 'drive the nail', that doesn't change the facts at all. Good luck.
Maybe i am an oddity in the political spectrum on this issue but. 1. i don't think there is any question that this impeachment is just a political vendetta against Trump, it absolutely is . I am convinced democrats don't care if he is guilty of anything impeachable they just want him gone. 2. it may be possible that Trump did do something impeachable. I don't think it's been proven yet but i am not in the slightest ruling it out 3. if Trump is guilty of something impeachable i want him gone. 4. I under absolutely no circumstances want any of the current democrats to win the election. i think the progressive movement needs to be shut down. Trump is the moderate. Just not in the packaging you like.
You know this because Graham says so? The only thing Republicans have been denied is the option of subpoenaing witnesses without committee approval. I'd criticize Democrats for not giving Republicans subpoena power except guys like McCarthy and Jordan would turn the impeachment inquiry into a gong show. Trump can defend himself in the Senate trial, if we get there. You sure know a lot about what's in Graham's head. Don't know about the "mob," but there are plenty of us out there getting tired of Trump's lying.
LOL, 'all the damning evidence' meaning so far only dem clown show narrative and no facts other than the dem clown show hysteria.
No, not yet. We'll learn more about what's happened behind closed doors when the transcripts are released. Next up, the public hearings. Isn't Trump guaranteed a fair Senate trial by there being a Republican Senate majority? Do they? What evidence do you have that most "lefties" believe the have Trump figured out?
I'm a Weird one also. I voted against both Trump and Clinton in 2016 because I was plain disgusted with both. I can't remember having such a high dislike or any president candidate, ever. I was born right after WWII so that includes quite a lot of presidential candidates. Although I think Trump is one obnoxious, uncouth, egotistical with a bunch more adjectives bully. Even so, I haven't jumped on the impeachment wagon. The main reason is in my opinion the Democrats set out to destroy Trump since the day after the election. They didn't even wait until he was inaugurated as president. So whatever they say about Trump, I don't believe and don't trust them. I also don't believe nor trust Trump either. Personally, I don't care if he is or isn't. Having said that, if Trump is impeached, I want it over some major impeachable offense that can be verified and not just because you don't like him. As for his ideology, I don't believe Trump has one. If he did he wouldn't have switched parties seven times. He would have found a political home. That makes him unique. He's not a hard core ideologue.
Certainly true with some Democrats who believe Trump is an existential threat to humanity and they've rationalized using virtually any tool available to get him out of office. It will give us a chance to discuss what we should expect from a President. He could be censured. What do you think they want to do that should be stopped? Progressive social values? Government spending on social programs? Climate change action? Something else? Moderate? No, he's a social conservative with a history of lose personal morals.
Yes, i think what we want in a president is an important discussion that needs to take place, we have been hyper focused on issues and charecter went out the window long ago. Here are some progressive ideas that need to be stopped. Furthering the LGBTQ agenda, and don't tell me it's just about equal rights thats BS, taxing the rich more, taxing anyone more, getting rid of the electoral college, taxing churches, banning guns, you know the issues. If the dems interview more people and don't get much more than they have now a strong censure is in order. Trump isn't a social conservative. He kinda sorta plays one in the White House. He is not fiscally conservative at all. I'd say the closest comparison would be Bill Clinton.
