I think the LGBTQ community want to force their views on everyone else. They want kids abused by confusing them about their gender. They want to force the idea that these aren't lifestyle choices and therefore force non discrimination laws. That kind of thing. No new taxes period.. and no deficit spending.. My feeling is nobody really cares about the opinion of house dems except fake news, hollywood, and the comparatively small population with TDS. I also believe Trump holds all the cards. He has the military, law enforcement, and a very large segment of the population that will go to bat for him should the need arise. The trick is to not have to use these cards unless absolutely necessary. Peace is always a better option for everyone. The dems want to disturb the peace and hope for some kind of advantage in the chaos because that's their only shot at staying in power. It won't work, but their not gonna just admit defeat. I think Trump, or proxies, will begin a counter offensive by releasing major dirt on the dems and neocons. This will sway any fence sitters, and further marginalize people with TDS. They will become even more batty, and unattractive to regular people. They already sound like homeless schizos, so it won't be hard to do. That's how it looks from my house.
It's over. Homosexuality is an accepted part of American society. What are we going to do with twice as many indigent seniors require skilled nursing? I wouldn't worry about that one. Machine guns are already banned--well, recently manufactured weapons. Why should we legalize them now? His attitude toward minorities, his opposition to abortion.

Trump makes no effort to bring minorities into his government. My opinion? Because they escalate the risk for police. What lies? Homosexuality occurs throughout history, across cultures, to both genders, and is not impacted by efforts to stomp it out. What's not legit about them? There is strong evidence homosexuality isn't a choice. What special protection are you talking about that impacts free speech?

Mistreatment of minorities is not a right wing trait.. if trump mistreats minorities he is not acting like a right winger. Having people free to move around and drive greatly escalates the danger for police. Having people free to used drugs and drink alcohol escalates the danger for police. All trypes of freedom escalates the danger for police. I have no interest in stomping out homosexuality. I do have an interest in maintaining my freedom of religion and freedom of speech. Including my freedom to say that homosexuality is a sin and to say that putting a 7 yo boy in a dress and calling him a girl is child abuse and prosecute people who do it they are in fact criminals. There is evidence that how kids experience things can turn them homosexual. The first ammendment isn't mostly about free speech. It's mostly about freedom of religion. Adopting for instance hate speech laws related to homosexuality would be z violation of freedom of religion .

I think the calculation has little to do with Trump actually being removed or not. What Dems in swing states have decided is that this will not negatively impact their re-election In short, because the nature of these allegations are directly motivated by a fixation to win re-election, Dems can be forgiven for thinking he has become dangerous and the very remedy, that independents and moderates intended to use to ditch him to the curb, may be too corrupted and compromised if they don't do something. I am not saying that the calculation is that voters will support impeachment, I am saying voters feel sufficiently ambivalent about this man's compulsion to win at almost any cost, that they will forgive Dems who do support impeachment. And that is enough for moderates to vote in favor of holding him accountable.
I think you are right supporting impeachment isn't going to hurt any lawmakers reelection. I think anyone showing obvious political bias will be hurt. Anyone not up for reelection in 2020 is safe we won't remember any of this in 2022.
Q1: If the dems initiate a civil war, and cause civil unrest. I don't think it will get that bad, but Trump could declare martial law and empower posse comitatus to suppress lawlessness if law enforcement is spread too thin.
