I left out my fruit salad. Tradition here too. Pea salad turned out good. Haven't made it since my friend who was the queen of pea salad, passed away. Nice reunion, tasty stuff. ;)

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

We have ham and eggs for breakfast. Ham sandwiches, split peas soup and sweet potato biscuits later.
    Who's hungry?
    Sit down.
    Relax.

Someone gave me a bottle of Wiśniówka.
So its open bar for Cordial Cherry Bombs.
Wiśniówka and chocolate infused vodka chilled, shake, pour. Top with Baileys, garnish with chocolate covered pretzel.

Well, I'm back @ work, but not many hardy souls are here. Surely I can do one day before being off for three!

Everything sounds wonderful, except the lima beans. I'll skip those, please.

However it is not advisable to leave out leftovers since many of
the bestest leftovers are best when a day or two or three in a
nice Tupperware container.Think leftover stew, chili or casserole.
Stuff like Antipasto needs sitting in a jar to marinade.
I wonder if First Lady Melania is allowed to eat stuff like
Antipasto_Or foie gras on crusty bread and a nice cheese with fine
wine.Or Is Trump picky about such European eats.He does like
    fancy chocolate desserts.

Merry Après Christmas everyone. Hope you all had a great time.

Our feast consisted of mesquite-smoked turkey, spuds and gravy, sage stuffing, corn and apple pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

The beverages were on par with the food, too. We kept a pot of Glühwein on the stove all day and I popped open a couple bottles of my home-brewed red ale that I showed you back in October before it was finished bottle conditioning. Happily, after sitting for another two months it was ready just in time for Christmas:

    XMAS RED.jpg

It came out fantastic but that little Russian dude kept sticking his nose in my glass. :D

By the way, the green & white can of peanuts you see behind the bottle are from Hubs down here in southern Virginia and they are by far the best peanuts I have ever had. If you ever get a hankering to try them out give 'em a shot - they're awesome. We buy ourselves and our peeps a couple cans for the Holidays every year:

Pea salad recipe: chopped boiled eggs, chopped onion, green peppers chopped, chopped pimentos, mayonnaise, with a bit of sugar and vinegar added. How do you make yours?

It's a childhood nightmare thing. My Mom wasn't much of a cook, but she could burn lima beans with the best of 'em. Thing was, we had to eat them anyway. Call it a psychological thing, but to this day, I can't do it.

That's a shame. I liked lima beans, as a kid.

I can take 'em, or leave 'em today, but they were my favorite; back in the the day.

I've been back at work for a couple of weeks, but just 1/2 days, a few days a week (2 this week). I've had a ride take me back & forth, but this afternoon I took the train home! Much better than being in traffic, but the walk to the station was the challenge. Glad to have crossed that goal, too.

Feeling much better, gf. Have appt tomorrow with ID doctor, so staying on top of it. Hope he never wants to see me again. LOL

I had a similar experience with Peach Brandy. To this day, I can't stand artificial peach flavor. Nasty. :(
