Unemployment is near zero and the economy is booming-- well, Wall St. economy anyway, but why are so many people much worse off? If you have the time to sit and watch this video for 42 minutes, you'll understand why this country on the whole is worse off than it ever was. Every day in the United States, 6,300 people are evicted from their home or apartment.
In the US we stopped involuntary institutionalizing such ill people. The Left thought this a blow for freedom. The Right thought, "cool, we don't have to spend money on them". And people who are not competent to care for themselves are living lives of staggering misery. But, 9/10 of them are men. So, no one of any power cares. They are at best, used as props to lambast political targets.
Theres no economy that will lift up people who arent willing to work. And by 'willing to work' I mean getting a job you hate while looking for one you enjoy.
3 minutes in, and already the first sob story falls apart. It wasn't a matter of the economy at all. The woman was living a nice, comfortable life, but then her husband kicked her to the curb, and, despite being in what appears to be her mid-to-late 40s, the woman had no work skills other than what would get her a job as a cleaner. DAMN YOU DONALD TRUMP! How dare you force this woman to be totally dependant on a man! If this video was supposed to make me sympathetic to the plight of these people, it sure isn't working so far.
If you don't have a job in this booming economy, then you aren't so much unemployed as you are unemployable.
And sob story #2 just fell apart. Obese guy in his mid-50s who worked a 50-hour-a-week job, but he stopped working due to "a burnout" and a bad heart(shocker) and the associated medical bills that drained his savings, and then he was flat broke, and on the street and surviving on a diet of pizza(heart healthy).
Sob story #3 Black single mother who got kicked out for not paying rent, no back story on her employment situation given. Life lesson: don't have kids you can't afford. Sob story #4 Divorced father living in a hotel paying like $1500/month. He's been living in the hotel for TWO YEARS! What's wrong with that picture?
I'm not seeing any problem related to the economy, or Donald Trump, etc... What I'm seeing is people suffering the consequences of poor life choices and a lack of personal responsibility.
Oh really? Please enlighten us all, we'd love to hear your in depth analysis of homelessness in America.
There has always been those people who for one reason or another just couldn't get their act together but statistically their numbers were small. Enter the welfare state and ever increasing entitlements, disincentives to work, cradle to grave idleness and multi generational dependency. Bill Clinton's welfare reforms were a day late and a dollar short and in many states (blue) not enforced. They knew this day would come and it reached critical mass during the Obama years. The deliberate destruction of the economy coupled with unchecked and sanctioned illegal immigration contributed to the problem of an already over burdened system. Suddenly there was the perfect storm of rising prices of everything and the decreasing number of dollars available for public assistance. It's important to note that the cynical policies of unlimited illegal immigration during the Obama administration also put illegals in the front of the line for housing and assistance further diminishing the availability of affordable housing. What we are witnessing in places like LA and San Francisco did not exist in the numbers we are seeing now before Obama. The plan was to turn America into LA and San Francisco and continue the Obama agenda via Hillary Clinton, well thank God that didn't happen. Unfortunately this isn't just an American problem, the globalists are promoting this destruction anywhere they can and will succeed here if people keep voting for it.
I watched this documentary. It simply showcases exactly what conservatives have been saying. The guy that was a computer programmer, making 7,000 every two weeks... became burnt out with working. So he quit his job, lives out of his car, and eats free pizza from a restaurant that donates it. And we are supposed to believe its somehow everybody else's fault this dude gave up?
I have many skills and trades and yet because I am old companies diss me when I apply and you want to claim it is for some other reasons.. I laugh at yer ignorance.
6,300 get evicted by landlords daily, but on the other hand enough money for the next export of 'democracy', now to Iran.
Here in Massachusetts there are welfare hotels all over the place conveniently located next to check cashing places and liquor stores. These establishments boom on the first of the month. Thought this was a local phenomena but have seen it elsewhere while traveling. Got off the highway in Allentown PA once, it was late and I desperate for sleep. Saw a hotel (part of a well known chain) and pulled in. The person at the desk nervously told me that I shouldn't stay there and directed me to a better situation just down the road. She discreetly explained that, that particular hotel was rented out by the state. She looked terribly stressed and occurred to me that she would be working somewhere else if she could.
Use of good stamps peaked under Obama. It’s way down under Trump. We currently have more open jobs than people seeking jobs. We’re doing very well.
The problem is never inadequacy, poor decision making, or lack of preparation. There's always some other excuse that turns failure into victimization. The secret to success is not to avoid failure. It's the ability to identify and modify your own behaviors that contributed to your failure.
