Fair enough. If free speech is the most important right in your book, more power to you.

There are just things more important to me than free speech, I guess.

Hatred consumes. It eats all away and leaves nothing. Anger does that as well, just not as quickly. I try not to hate anything, and I try to temper my anger.

Some times, it's pretty hard. Especially around here.

So, How do you view your enemies? How far will you go when it comes to dealing with them?

 

I'm not the one saying putting on a hat, remotely should justify acting like a violent and emotional toddler.

 

Why dont you care about the potential emotional harm done to those you dont think should wear a hat in a display of support?

This is one huge problem I have with the progressive left. They are always talking in terms of HATE.

I agree it does consume and it's a negative emotion that eats people from the inside out which is why we see so many aggressive incidents coming from the left.

You rarely, if ever, see those on the right talking in terms of hate.

However, your view of telling the other person to 'Man Up' while you refuse to change your beliefs (that he may view as immoral) won't fix the problem or reduce the dangerousness of the situation, will it?

You shouldn't be a total jerk to ANYONE for ANY reason, unless you are okay with them being one to you, and ALL that entails.

At least, that is my moral belief. And I don't have a problem with it.

Sorry. But my personal belief is there is no such thing as a 'Saint'. Everyone is a hypocrite to some degree. Everyone has some kind of double standard. Everyone has Good and Evil in their hearts. It means I may not always have a love for them. But it also means I don't hate them. I mean, if I did, then logically, I would have to hate myself.

As for your question: Then I will have to deal with it. If you are looking for specific actions I will take. It's called walking away. If I can't walk away I will shut up. If shutting up doesn't work, I will vocally ask the aggressor to back off. If that fails, I will continue to vocally ask them to back off, getting a bit less nice each time.

Eventually, one of us will break. I don't think it will be me.

Fortunately for you, I am a law abiding citizen whom doesn't believe in rocking the boat or resorting to violence except in very, VERY severe situations.

But I am not like some of the other Liberal Democrats you seem to hate.

They outnumber you, and their numbers are growing. And they have the same capability for physical violence you do. With some of them having LESS self control.

And instead of wanting to decrease their numbers, you encourage it to grow. Or you do nothing, knowing it will still grow.

 

And if it wasn't clear. In my opinion at least, you can have opposing beliefs on both sides of an issue. Again, not black and white. It may complicate things some times, but that's part of being human.

Nothing is absolute. And the only constant in the universe is change.
