They don't call it the Executive Branch for nothing. It's supposed to execute.
When Trump ask for something from Congress he got it plus more.

One of the major problems is that we just don't have sufficient reliable and definitive data on Covid-19.

That is COMPOUNDED by the hamfisted incompetence of the criminal IMPOTUS and his regime.

Our nation is now in dire peril that COULD have been mitigated if we had someone in the Oval office who grasped the concept of SERVING We the People instead of themselves.

Needless deaths are the price we are going to pay for his dumbphuckery!

someone else could cure cancer and Trump could try to claim credit for it.... that is possible

I admit, I looked it up just now, and it turns out bacteria and viruses are different things. Point one actually to the Liberals.

Good job on doing the research and even better that you are willing to admit that you were wrong.

Now can I ask you for a big favor?

Can you continue to challenge your own assumptions in your posts?

Only reason I ask is because if you do that BEFORE you post you won't find yourself in this situation again and it saves both of us time because now we are dealing with FACTS instead of assumptions that turn out to be wrong.

I promise to do my best to challenge my own assumptions before I post. However, we humans(whether left or right leaning) have assumptions as a part of our thought system. A fact is actually trying out an assumption and then the assumption is proven either true or false(Theory is the more novel word, pun intended lol.)

But I will admit, I hate having egg on my face and I hate it even more because I do care a great deal about my credibility, and being one with an alternative viewpoint, I have to be accurate all the moreso.

If only there was type Bell { as in the Stock Market bell } to start the day
off Politically. Then rung in late afternoon to end such politics.
    But there ain't such a Bell.I guess that's " A good thing ".
But with most good things in life, there is the Bad.
    And the ugly.As in - The Good,The Bad,and the Ugly - { 1966 }.
Which starred Clint Eastwood and - Baby Doll - { 1956 } actor
Eli Wallach who lived to be 98.
But then Virus don't keep time or can even tell time. Not so with
yer garden variety Hollywood actor or audience.About the only Hollywood
Icon who dint follow that Golden Rule { Be on time } was Blond wonder
Marilyn Monroe. But she managed to get cut slack.
There is no cutting slack with these Hollywood creeps.Especially with
our current President. In fact it's a virtual field day of opportunities to
slander, mock, deride, not just question but Demand more of the same.
Now you gots our Free Press and MSM actually adopting Chinese
Communist Talking pts. That the Virus may not have originated in Wuhan.
That surely as God Made Little Green Apples should never be called
the Wuhan Virus or China Virus.Yeah Right.
And Hollywood should not be called Hollywood.
Maybe Peckerwood. For all those horny Hollywood Woodpeckers
who done use Erectile Meds to keep bonin' the public.

Nice try to start a rediculous shitstorm on Dems by excluding the dumbass statements of the worst President of all times sitting in White House!

You blame the Dems for the impeachment issue, but who argued that Corona Virus is more an issue of an election campaign trick of the Dems again, eh?
Who had need a kick in his butt to react as he reacted finally by undersestimating CIVID-19 all the time before, eh?

So come on ... when you blame the Dems for their issue, do the same about Trump, otherwise you are only hypocritical!

All this "left wing" cheerleading for this deadly pandemic empowers Trump and undermines the credibility of his opposition.
The DP needs to fire its overpaid strategists.

In truth, the Corona virus is not a bacteria... and I sure wish it were. If it were a bacteria, we could destroy it with a whole host of prescription drugs, like these:

Top 10 List of Antibiotic Classes (Types of Antibiotics)
    Penicillins
    Tetracyclines
    Cephalosporins
    Quinolones
    Lincomycins
    Macrolides
    Sulfonamides
    Glycopeptides
    Aminoglycosides
    Carbapenems

    Link: https://www.drugs.com/article/antibiotics.html

No, unfortunately, COVID-19 is a damned, old virus, and that's a whole different 'animal'... and thus, we see clearly the problem the world really has today.

And, as a totally separate, side observation -- these damned central banks (like 'the Fed') rushing in and cutting interest rates, 'printing' warehouses full of imaginary, new money, and gutting the value of the U. S. Dollar isn't (IS NOT) going to prevent the Corona virus from spreading and killing people. But, as they say, "the rich will get richer, and the poor will get poorer...."

Yeah righto Ringo.Just listen to the skittishness of medical experts
giving their take.Half the reason these Doctors are so skittish about
leveling with the mass populace is they don't want to get blamed if this thing
gets out of hand.Because this Type Flu is highly contagious and as of
yet no Vaccine.Even thought Israel just reported that they have found a
vaccine and could be available for use outside of a trial period in 180 days.
    That would be early fall.
Common folk are being spoon-fed the Panic because of two realities.
This has become Political and as Rahm Emanuel was famous for saying :
" Never let a crisis go to waste ".
That's it folks. Not one person in my State has died and just a dozen have
tested positive. It was 8 on Friday. My governor is no longer the balanced
conservative Matt Bevin. It's the Outlandish Liberal Andy Beshear whose
pappy was a big Democrat Lib and former Governor { Steve Beshear }.
Who Obama thanked numerous times for propelling his ObamaCare.
All Beshear did was help Kentuckians sign-up for Medicaid.
Which any Kentuckian could have done Regardless of ObamaCare passing.

The first Kentuckian to die from the Corn Virus was a 66 year old male

I just checked the net as far as news. It's been changed.Just within the
last hour or so.Kentucky went from 12 cases to 21.In less than a few hrs.
    Plus Indiana at 24.
This is being manipulated to make way for Emergency state measures
to close down Restaurants and bars. This is Orwellian.

Citing an absence of federal action, the governors of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut took matters into their own hands Monday and announced uniform tri-state rules to shrink crowd sizes and close a number of non-essential businesses. Gov. Phil Murphy also joined the other states in shuttering schools.

There will be no crowds with gatherings over 50 anywhere. Casinos will close Monday night regionwide, as well as movie theaters and gyms. Bars and restaurants will be limited to take-out and delivery only as of 8 p.m. Monday. The temporary closures will remain in effect for as long as necessary to protect public health. Grocery stores will stay open.

It was unprecedented coordination among states to help slow the pandemic that has infected nearly 1,000 people and killed nine across the tri-state area. As of Monday, New York had 950 total cases, 469 in New York City.

"This is not a war that can be won alone, which is why New York is partnering with our neighboring states to implement a uniform standard that not only keeps our people safe but also prevents 'state shopping' where residents of one state travel to another and vice versa," Cuomo said. "I have called on the federal government to implement nationwide protocols but in their absence we are taking this on ourselves."

fact checking trump and getting the real facts out is not cheerleading, Trump was wrong in the beginning, that is just a fact

Trump told us when there were 15 cases, nothing to worry about, the cases were going down and would soon be zero... like magic

Pence is doing a better job than Trump, Trump's only requirement is that Pence and the Experts praise him daily to massage his ego

The top countries in terms of reported new cases the past few days would be. The death rate and some other stats among them varies considerably. Overall, however, those countries with a low "recovered" number (e.g., Germany, France, or USA) will tend to also have a lower 'death' number, meaning that many of their cases are still in the early stages of their progress.

The US, with its greater population and delay in imposing restrictions, could see the biggest change in reported cases. The curve could flatten or we could see an exponential spike.

As for deaths, one would have to have been tested for a death to count due to the virus. Who knows what that number might be?

The US response is mixed nuts. While gatherings are being restricted to 50, 250 or 500 (it varies), grocery stores are jam packed with people. Social distancing? Some practice it, some don't.

True as far as how the US is reacting and what may lay ahead, except I can guarantee that the numbers in the US will NOT flatten. They will spike significantly and there will be at least twice the number reported now by next week.

As for deaths, those will rise substantially as well. In fact, if you look carefully at the numbers I posted, you will see that all countries with a low number of people in the "recovered category' also have a low number of deaths, meaning most of their cases are still 'active' and have not reached a conclusion. But as those cases reach a conclusion, you will generally see a large percentage recover and (except for Italy for some reason) a much lower percentage (but still significant number in aggregate) of these people dying. How many? Around 10% of those who are now reported (who are among the ones right now showing symptoms) will likely end up dying in 7-10 days. In other words, that number for the US next week could be around 400 deaths. At least, that is what I think the numbers will look like in the next 7-10 days for the US.

What we've seen in Italy seems to be a result of the medical system being stretched beyond its limit. It could happen in other places, too. Others seem to be learning from Italy, so that could mitigate some worst-case scenarios.

Trump wasn't going to touch State Action, because he knew that if he did, they would have accused him of being the next Hitler, to affect the election, etc. Some might say "He shouldn't be thinking about his status during this time." But the complaints all stem around thinking of his political status. He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

This is the cumulative effect of not working together for 3 years. Now when you need him the most, he's like "Smh, not my problem."
