    Oh, OK, 1. Poster's and other Orangemanbad claims along the lines of "Trump should have done more" display a woeful lack of understanding of the workings of U.S. law and government, balance of powers. checks and balances, states' rights, etc. We see this foundational error perpetually from LW/Democrats/MSM, here or elsewhere, whose stunted understanding of U.S. government is rife with such laughable "POTUS as King" errors. Not surprised. 2. Poster's posts identify them as someone who has never done much in the adult world or private sector. Poster's admission of being a school teacher for 30 years reinforces that supposition. Clear now?

    I can get the crayons out for you if it's not.

    And who am I? That's not at issue. I'm not the one who answered a glaring civics error with an appeal to my own authority.

    Absolutely true!

    By mid January, British Columbia was ready for a possible pandemic.

    British Columbia's Center of Disease and Control DEVELOPED their own testing kit, NO FLAWS, NO DELAYS.

    In addition, by late February/early March, British Columbia was doing more Covid19 testing/contact tracing than the entire United States;

    1,450 tests VERSUS 547 tests

    I agree, a meaningless pandemic study Trump PROUDLY WAVED on national TV, and at his RALLIES.

    I don't know how to decide whether to protest for freedom or stay home and if I go out I wear a mask of sorts. So far I pick the latter. Which would be the logical way of doing things? Having to stay home longer because of the virus, What good does it do? There will be more infected and dying people of COVID-19, and whether we go out or not isn't going to make much difference. We still stay home and the Coronavirus is still killing people no matter what. They say there won't be a vacine in 12 to 18 months. Are we expected to stay in houses until then? What good will that do? It's like wasting our lives away in the meantime. Incarcerated prisoners have it better than we do on the outside. Isn't it time to lift restrictions little by little for us all?
    Willow Creek school in Montana is back in class again. There may be others to follow

    Do you know that Trump gets tested every day and probably Pence. Their valets have been tested positive for the virus.

    TRUMP; “I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic"

    LONG BEFORE means; There was NO TIME to;

    Inspect the strategic stockpiles
    Replenish the strategic stockpiles
    Toss out supplies that were expired

    TRUMP; "I've always viewed it as very seriously"

    Really?

    When I feel/know there's a very serious storm coming;

    I close all the windows
    I roll up my Truck windows
    I secure items that are likely to blow away
    I fold my table parasol

    IN ADDITION

    Since Jan 2017; We had NO TIME to;

    Inspect the strategic stockpiles
    Replenish the strategic stockpiles
    Toss out supplies that were expired

    It's purely a numbers game right now. But there are things that improve your odds.
    If your area has done antibody testing you can get an idea of how many people around you may have the virus. This in turn can guide you by giving you the odds of being with someone who has it.
    So of course the lower the rate in your area the safer you are.
    Then of course there are all the things you hear about washing your hands wearing a mask and so on.

    Really?
    They're not bankrupt. Some of them have pension plans they can't afford, but they just change the payout.
    The least healthy states are mostly in the South, tend to support Trump, and have some of the lowest welfare benefits.
    If they weren't old they probably would be alive, so let's cut of the death of any senior.
    Try reading about the Defense Production Act.

    Absolutely. We are now giving ventilators away.

    yeah NOW. If the lockdown hadn't worked it would have gotten far uglier than it did. We got a taste of that in New York. When you start finding trailers full of rotting corpses because the morgue can't keep up, you are one step from all out chaos. And we were there.

    Or are you just trying to present an alternative history, LOL!

    No one who needed a ventilator went without a ventilator.

    I don't know if that is true, but if so it is only because the lock down worked. If it hadn't, it would have been a different story.

    I've stated that several times but you keep ignoring it. Is that too complicated for you? The lock down was done for a reason. And it worked.

    It's as though Trump deliberately tied the hands of many of the top medical experts in the world. How many Americans are dead because of this guy?

    I kept thinking that as this pandemic was first breaking. It was as if he wanted it to spin out of control. But I chalk that up to his stupidity. I think his ability to deny the reality right in front of him, and believe it himself, is the real source of his demon here.

    For sure. We made it almost three years before Trump showed us what happens if you elect a moron and then have a crisis.

    It’s absolutely true. There is no evidence that any lockdown has made any difference. Plus lockdowns do great economic damage and slows herd immunity achievement.

    Lockdowns do not flatten the curve any sooner and cause much more economic damage and slow herd immunity achievement resulting ultimately in more coronavirus fatalities.
