None of them have a real plan for ending this. They've painted themselves into a corner with no way out. So their only response at this point is to try to silence their opponents with incessant name-calling.

At least the governors of NY NJ and CA don't have to worry about armed demonstrators in and outside their capitols.
    Almost as if by design...

There is ample evidence that shows loss of income is strongly associated with increased mortality.

That means people will die as a result of this economic devastation.

And not just here in America, but in third world countries where millions will be pushed to the brink of starvation by disruptions to the supply chain.

The lockdown fanatics don't care about any of that though. If millions of poor people have to starve in order to artificially extend the lives of nursing home residents in the first world, then so be it.

Those States are collapsing financially, economically, and culturally, a collapse that will only be accelerated by the exodus of normal people and businesses that is sure to result from these endless lockdowns.

And when the chickens finally come home to roost, and their bloated financial systems fail, I will watch with glee as the degenerate hordes rip through the rich liberal neighborhoods.

It's always the most financially secure people who sneer the most aggressively at those who want to return to work.

    Well said.

We're all supposed to pretend like a virus causing disease and death is somehow abnormal when it's the most normal thing in existence.

And there is really nothing we can do about it except what we've always done: Learn to live with the virus.

Sweden has already succeeded in doing that. Germany and Switzerland are following close behind. They must hate grandmas and science in those countries.

Isn't it interesting how their lack of understanding is supposed to justify their radical and unprecedented response to the virus?

I laugh at their lack of rational that they have been infected thousands of time in their lives by pathogen, virus, infections by and from HUMANS and surfaces everywhere they touched growing up to be SCARED of everything around them now :)

    It's quite hilarious, honestly! ;)

FULL BODY CONDUMBS by stock NOW :)

I want to get us out of this mess. While the right unwittingly (due to ignorance) will keep us in it for a long time and at a great cost of life.

And they need to do is think!: we go out as if the pandemic were over, the virus spreads more, and it takes longer to end this pandemic while more people die in the process. We follow the CDC guidelines, the virus spreads less, the pandemic lasts less time, and less people die in the process. No matter how many times you hear Trump and the wingnut media saying that 2+2=5, repeating it over and over is not going to make it so.

Under what conditions will it be acceptable for people to start living normal lives again. Be specific.

So you think it's "normal"? Like... eating, drinking, having sex, ... That kind of "normal"?

I think it's completely abnormal for people to go out and risk the life of other people needlessly. Especially because of partisan politics. i.e. your "idol" needs it because he doesn't thinks he'll be re-elected unless we all act as if the pandemic didn't exist.

    Very abnormal!

I'm completely puzzled of what you mean by "normal"

Viruses have been causing disease and death for as long as humans have existed. Your desire to live in a world where there is no risk and no death is a dangerous fantasy.

It really just boils down to a lot folks thinking 'the economy' is just something that makes rich people richer, and isn't worth potentially sacrificing lives to protect.

It'll probably take a supply breakdown induced famine to change their mind. It'll just be too late to fix anything by then...

Ya normal as in that silly line :) Just hyperbole for a virus that hasn't really lived up to prediction. If not for the media and rise of the 2020 hypochondriac pandemic it would have already run it's course! All those germaphobes have done is lengthen the season and prolonged the natural order of life and evolution of their immune systems..

And I have news for you: we were all deceived and terrorized by Fauci and MSM. Some of us realize that months in, some likely never will realize they've been tricked.

The facts are that the vast majority of people will survive the infection. Only the weak and unhealthy will die. Life goes on.

By isolation and no social contact :) YA, when was the last time in mans history was that a determining factor when confronted with virus.. I find it odd that people think that hiding will somehow give their own time tested means of fighting virus a better chance LATER, LMFAO :)

You be specific. What do you mean by "normal lives". If you mean like it was before the pandemic.... who knows. Maybe even years. Especially after the botched initial response (and poor ongoing response) by this President*. But we can start opening (which is what my post is about) in a much safer manner by following the Trump Administration's CDC guidelines than by not following them.

These are the guidelines that Trump will be praising himself for in a few months, hoping that we all forget that he has been the first to undermine them.

    Why is it stupid?

What makes you think you cannot get infected?

    Normal = before COVID

So what is your plan for returning to that life? And what measurable, observable criteria will you use to determine progress and benchmarks?

Years? Of this? You actually think that is possible?
