They called the unemployed losers, lazy, parasitic, and scam artists before they decided that their jobs were more important than their lives and those of their loved ones.

What remains consistent is their indifference for the infirm, the disabled and the elderly. Those folks have always been treated as disposable.

There is no plan to return to "normalcy" the way you define it because, as far as we know, we will never return to that normalcy.

Expecting for us to go back to pre-covid 19 is like expecting us to go back to pre-9/11. But a hundred times worse because this has directly affected the whole country... the whole world.... So you better start getting used to it and try making the most of what you have. And doing the best we can. And our best chance to getting back to something even close to resembling pre-Covid 19 within our lifetimes is by following the CDC guidelines. There are no other guidelines, strategies or plans. They don't exist. Period!

Ok. You already made it clear on another thread that that wouldn't be you. So I'll wait for somebody who does.

    Thanks for the tip.

Nah people have told you literally 100's of time to stay in the house! Why would you have healthy people stay in the house like sick and weak people, Just so you can roam around?

Now you want to be silly ;) Even in this tiny little town there are community services that will bring you a hot meal two times a day, bring you groceries or whatever you need.. You cant even be honest about something as fundamental as that SMH.

Look man your bitch is with mother nature/evolution, DNA and lifestyle! No one is sentencing you to death, no one is forcing you to mingle and you wont be starved.. YOU are the one demanding that healthy people follow the options the sick and weak must follow.. You're the selfish one to demand that strong people with a much greater chance of survival, better DNA and healthier life style rot away in some crap box so the sick and weak can what, crawl around the piggly wiggly..

Lets try and be realistic for once Ronstar!

    Is that bad?

    Has Trump resigned yet?

If Trump would just resign, we could return to normal.

    Fair enough?

Because we have learned how to deal with 60 K dead in a year. We don't know how to deal with... maybe millions.

Why would that reasoning apply to one and not the other?

You did! You just don't know it.

I remember the last time somebody said something like this on another thread .... Oh! Just 10 thousand dead? That's nothing!

Didn't take long for that thread to go wild with posters making fun of their absolute lack of foresight.

My advice.... don't quote numbers. You risk that number increasing exponentially, and you looking like an a... uhm... not good.

In any case, the way you off-handily dismiss hundreds of thousands of human lives, just because you think it pleases your political idol, is quite disgusting.

I see you agree with Governor Wolf, and likely agree with the business penalties imposed on businesses that open up.(You can feel free to chatise me on the record, but I think odds are pretty good that I'm correct in reading on your thoughts.). Of course this was done on a whim. Circles in NY Parks? The banning of sunflower seeds in Michigan?

Cases were(and still are increasing) even as the shutdown had taken place. What gives? First it was to flatten the curve, now it's...what is it anyway? We don't even know anymore.

These are normal times, because they must be normal times. Risk mitigation is crucial, but where risk mitigation overrules individual rights and property, it must absolutely be justified. And yet it's not justified. Even as the world broaches 4 million cases, we recall there's over 7 BILLION people on earth. 330 Million of whom reside in this Nation.

And this is with the virus "wildly spreading". Clearly the virus has not and will not overtake the US population or any other population in the world. And as we get the vaccine development or other medicines, we will continue beating back the virus.

Tit for tat. Like you said

You're the one making hay about Trumps silly unrealistic numbers and yet YOU are all off the chain about a pandemic that is credited with

    Global death
So it would seem he is underestimating and you Sir are overblowing the severity of this pandemic :)

You do realize that most who get this will recover from the virus, mask or no mask? We have over a million cases and only 90,000 deaths in comparison, so the numbers say you will recover more than you will die from this virus. Answer this. Why can I go to Home Depot and buy a sponge, but I can't go to a salon that could be equally as crowded? Is a sponge an, "essential item?" Keeping yourself groomed is more essential, so it would make more sense to have a salon be classified as a essential business like some have classified liquor stores as essential businesses.

Quite frankly, I'm tired of the accusations of "you're being selfish." Its the default answer for those opposing the lockdown. I literally cancelled my Costco membership because the asses there decided to go full on anal and make customers do something against their will, which there actually isn't any legal precedent for Costco doing what they're doing btw. You want to talk about standing up for what's right? Well Bob, I can tell you exactly what standing up for what's right is and it isn't what you're saying. Its standing on the principle that this is a free nation, pandemic or no pandemic and that our Constitution guarantees the right to worship and the right to assemble at all times. Its recognizing oppression. That, sir is patriotic. Not these stay at home orders, not wearing a mask, not staying this magical number of six feet away from each other, and the idea anyone here could kill someone by not doing those things is simply a emotionally-driven response.
