Dystopia will result from failure to curb the spread.

As with gun control, we need *common sense* approaches.

If you need more information than this, you are the Enemy of Good.

Not destroying the economy will kill grandma.

And even worse, it won't get Trump.

Man up and adapt. Change is inevitable.

You can't WILL the thing away because you like your old lifestyle. How do you think those who lived through WWII coped with the radical change to their lives? They had to adapt, and adapt hard and fast. That you're alive today shows how well they adapted.

Get used to it folks: Covid-19 has changed our society and we are NOT going back to normal.

At least not for a few years, and if we get a new Covid every year like with Influenza, we will NEVER return to "normal".

Exactly, I'm glad someone else is saying it. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done with the amount of fear mongering going on. It's the classic sounding fear campaign: Stay home, save a life. Excuse me, but someone could walk out their front door and get hit by a truck, okay? This talk of a "new normal" is nothing less than foolish.

If that happens it will because you refused to lock down hard and fast.

Ask Vietnam, Taiwan, and New Zealand if they're living like zombies today .. while America keeps adding 20,000 new cases a day.

What normal? You expect normal in a pandemic?

    It's like a grand delusion.

Menards for hardware, Home Depot for cedar decking, daughters house for some deck measurements, archery range, gun range for a few mags of 9mm, and help neighbor take down a hornets nest. I wore a mask in the public 75% of the others did not. Am I worried? Not in the least.

some were ok with the Trump shutdown and others were not

many worked during the shutdown, no one was stopping them from being an essential worker, did they apply, did they try to get a job?

many also enjoyed the time off with family, something that is invaluable to them

no one stopped anyone from protesting the Trump shutdown, no one stopped the free speech of those criticizing it either

I did disagree with Trump closing the US National parks to van lifers though, for many retired people, this is their homes, and living out in the wild was probably the safest place for them, forcing them to park in towns was just wrong

oh spare us the pathetic hyperbole.

Trump has ordered ALL meat processing plants and slaughter houses to function, regardless of the danger. Is Trump a tyrant now??

Our friends are in denial, even as they watch that 1.5 million continue to increase by 20,000 a day.

Standing in the house while it burns down around them, screaming that they really like the house.

This is the type of thinking that will only keep us down. I don't believe in cheerleader thinking like Trump has done, but this "new normal" bs falls flat on its face.

We all know that's a stupid way to live. They knew it too, but still chose not to save for a rainy day.
