President trump has been tougher in China on human rights then any other president China has been holding them in camps. They didn’t need to set up detainment camps.
But his objective was not to get China to “buy American”. His objective was to get China to buy things that typical Trump supporters produce. He was using foreign policy to reward his base - not to help America.
Yeah - they’ve been holding them in the camps that Trump encouraged Xi to set up. Trump has been weak on human rights. He just doesn’t care.
Trump encouraged the creation of camps that were already in place? Well before trump was president? Yeah...just listen to yourself that might be your opinion and I agree we can always be tougher but he has certainly been tougher then any president in my lifetime.
Not remotely the same thing and you know it... you simply cannot be negotiating with a foreign power and bringing your reelection into the discussion... You can THINK it and you can STRATEGIZE around it, but you CANNOT bring it up as a reason or condition for the deal. I certainly can't help you see the light... If I were Schiff and Pelosi, I would subpoena Bolton today to testify about the claims in his book...
No. Xi wanted to build new camps: Xi "explained to Trump why he was basically building concentration camps in Xinjiang," Bolton wrote, citing the interpreter's account. The interpreter added that "Trump said that Xi should go ahead with building the camps, which Trump thought was exactly the right thing to do," according to the book. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-china-detention-camp-xinjiang-2020-6
maybe your party should try again to impeach the POTUS a year ago= Bolton bad now he's a useful idiot to the democrat party so which is it? Is bolton bad or is he good?
Let's see... Locker room talk tape - FAIL Russian collusion - FAIL Nazigate - FAIL Porngate - FAIL Ukrainegate - FAIL Flu hoax - FAIL Chinese collusion - TBA* *FAIL
I was thinking about this; (might be a topic in itself.) Trump has never been the most stable mind in the history of humanity... To use an understatement. But when he suggested people should ingest disinfectant(!) to tackle Covid19 I think a line got crossed. In hindsight, the Democrats, or anybody else sane enough to understand Trumps insanity, should have stood up and said; enough is enough! The health and safety of the people comes first and if the President can no longer help to provide it somebody else should. For the President has totally lost his mind. The Democrats could have shown leadership by taking over Covid-briefings. The hell with Trump. People needed to hear the truth about the virus, how to stay safe and so much more. Not Trumps twisted reality. Yet the Democrats did nothing while, looking back, they should have assumed a shadow-government as soon as Trump took office. A voice of reason to counter the madness of the King. Because we could all sense what was coming. A lost opportunity and America is worse of because of it.
No - not “well before trump was president”. Satellite photos and tender documents show construction in 2017 and 2018, at least. Trump is a disgrace. Not just to America, but to the human race.
And if we went to war over these camps?(As someone like Bolton would do)? International crisis. To me, it would've been like "You know, we don't do those things here but whatever you do, you go do it.". The neocon is what a neocon always was: A disgusting warmongering creature, who was out of his element in Trump's administration. The neocons are responsible for Afghanistan and Iraq.
Oh wow a politician working deals that will help not only his peeps but himself get elected. I'm shocked I tell you....
Bolton always stays a warmonger. But considering that he was hired by Trump - and Trump always hires the best - why is Bolton no longer credible today?
I just gotta laugh at Bolton. I'm amazed the president brought him into the administration to begin with... it wasn't smart on Trumps part. He was a warmonger and one of the gaggle of deeply entrenched bureaucrats who LIED about wanting to work with President Trump's agenda just to get a seat at the table. Trump was an outsider, probably too much of one - but I guess it took that kind of outside thinking to find out a lot of the most highly recommended people in DC were really terrible. I'm not surprised Bolton was let go rather quickly.
A war is an extreme solution. Publicly expressing disagreement and condemning XI is a minimum. How many presidents before Trump were tolerant of countries that used concentration camps?
Donald Trump tried extending a hand to the neoconservatives he defeated in 2016, as he was obviously an outsider intruding on Republicanism. The problem is, a neocon will always be a neocon. It's impossible for these war mongering money contractors to be American First. What the Trump presidency showed is that those of us who genuinely believe in Nationalism need to understand is that there's no place for us in the Republican Party. Because even if you do win a Presidency, you have an anti-nationalist Congress(actually, forget anti-nationalist they can't even protect their own cities and States now!) and anti-nationalists to pick to form your cabinet. That's the other thing, when nationalists were selected they were dubbed 'racist', etc.(Gorka among others) and how dare Trump have those kind of picks. Which even more lent to neoconservatives occupying the positions in a supposed 'US first' administration. This is why these picks have been faced with their own challenges, perhaps Trump's cleanest selections was his economics team which thankfully was devoid of both controversy and conflict. It's a team that I would love to keep onboard through administrations.
LOL oh please tell us where the constitution forbids getting countries to buy American goods ole constitutional scholar.
We know: The Worst President Ever Donnie is always the victim. He colluded with the Russian, He committed felony campaign finance violations. He obstructed justice in the Russian and impeachment probes. He mishandled the coronavirus crisis.
Trump has asked Xi to help him in the upcoming elections. That's a crime. But rest assured, I'm not trying to convince Trumpsters like you. Your devotion completely blinds you.
Nah they just admitted they existed around that time ....they had been in place well before then Trump signed sanctions against China for human rights abuses....both for the camps and what they did in Hong Kong.
