It does seem weird. As does all the stuff with Trump and Epstein. Why should I apply a double standard, though? Seems like both men look like sleezeballs.

Download tiktok and china has access to all the data on your phone. Its long been know that its basically chinese spyware.

I think it depends on how much info they take and how easily you can disable that info sharing.

I (unfortunately) think Biden won't be as hard ok China as Trump is, but overall is still head and shoulders above Trump

I understand what big data is. What I am asking is what exactly is the threat? Is this about them taking the same data as everyone else and using it to predict what you will or wont spend your money on? Everyone keeps implying they are stealing (depends on the user agreement) personal information on your phone like your emails if you install the app? If that data is used for crimes or theft, should we be arresting the US based staff they have?

 

As I stated in the last post, Im not sure of the legal parts at play when you sign up for the service. They have US staff, so if what they are doing leads to a crime some of them should be arrested. I could take this anonymous members word that they take more than facebook for instance, but it still means little if there is no crime and it involves big data just getting data. Even not having anything but a smart phone, big data sees that as data on you habits and values it as money. No or very little data, is in a way valuable data to them on who you are and their predictions.

That's what organizations like the FBI, CIA, Google, etc do. By collecting as much personal info as possible, it makes it more likely there is some pattern that can be exploited. Someone listening could very well at the minimum understand what Trump's most likely decision on a key foreign policy, hence a security issue.
