If only they'd done the same for Obama. Sorry if that upsets you.

Conservatives believe that businesses thrive or perish based on competition and their own management, not on government intervention. UPS and FedEx thrive on competition.

They removed 19 already. Each one sorts up to 35,000 pieces of mail per hour

they demoted 25 high level experienced managers

they cut out OT at a time when Covid has already reduced the work force

they have mandated that if mail is not sorted by the end of a shift there will be no attempt to complete it that day ( adding to the following day’s burden)
Taken in total what does that look like?

USPS is mandated NOT to make a profit... AND is mandated to finance pensions in a way that no for profit business ever has had to...or could withstand financially

^^^ Doesn't understand the basic, constitutionally guaranteed purpose of the Post Office...

"If we don't make a deal, that means they don't get the money. That means they can't have universal mail-in voting. They just can't have it."

The Post Office is supposed to be financially independent.
The democrats have thrown every thing they can think of into the the bail out package. They need to get rid of a few things.
The post office handles just under 500 million pieces of mail per day or approximately 15 billion pieces of mail per month. You really think the post office cannot handle an increase of approximately 200 million pieces of mail for a one month period? That is just over a 1% increase. Additionally, it is mail which they will be paid for. I wonder what will happen when Christmas rolls around and we get an increase of about fifty times that with Christmas cards and packages?

This is what we expected of Trump: cheating. We announced it well in advance. He can't win if he doesn't cheat. Trump supporters will excuse this, just like they would excuse if he shot somebody in the middle of Fifth Avenue. But those who did not come in defense of their country and it's institutions will be forever remembered for their lack of patriotism.

When you say "if one doesn't have a mail sorting machine", that means they took all of them.

They can absolutely handle an increase under normal circumstances...but Trump is counting on slowing it down as much as possible...by the means noted above

It, like conning Kanye West into pretending to run for president, just more right wing attempts to steal another election.

We have just learned today that Jared Kushner just met with Kanye West. While Kushner will not disclose what was discussed you can bet it wasn't West's latest rap.

No...it actually doesn’t mean that at all. I don’t know how it’s even remotely possible you could take it that way. Painful....utterly painful. I need to stop wasting my time with you. Goodbye

And one more time: In person voting takes less time than one spends at a grocery, liquor, or department store where one runs an even greater risk of exposure to c-19.

I just don’t understand the emotional insistence on mail in voting.

    Is it the convenience, really?

You have got to be joking??? Did you not read about voters in the state of Georgia standing in line for several hours to vote in the primary. They had to extend closing time of the polls because so many were still in line to vote. Georgia practices what many right wing states do,minimizing the number of voting locations in minority neighborhoods or moving them several miles away.

Maybe because there are actually places that take a tad longer than a grocery store run. I live in a small rural town so for my wife and I voting in person takes no time at all. In and out in less than 5 mins.
But not everyone has that type of situation.
So far in 2020, voters have seen major delays: The March primary in Texas saw long lines at polling places, with waits up to six hours, forcing officials to extend voting hours to accommodate the crowds. In April, Wisconsin voters had long waits, too. On June 9, many Georgia voters waited between four and eight hours.

Kentucky’s primary on June 23 went better than many had feared – thanks to bipartisan agreement to allow everyone to vote by mail if they wanted, and expanded opportunities to vote in person before Election Day. But still, the one polling place open for 600,000 Louisville residents, needed a court order to remain open after the official closing time to accommodate people still waiting in line.“

Why not is never as good a question as why in my opinion.
